Lighthouse, Point Clark - 2

Misty Morning With Tree 

A solitary tree with a thin layer of mist in the background. A simple image, but this simplicity makes this image memorable, well at least to me. ;-)

Misty Morning - 1 

While driving along highway 21 north of Grand Bend, I spotted this scene on a misty morning. The mist, just a shallow layer really, concealed just the lower portions of the distant trees. It was late Spring, so the farmers' fields, lush with early growth, were just getting going.

Misty Morning - 2 

These trees, spotted on a misty morning, offered a simple image in essentially three layers. The green in the foreground, the blue of the sky, and the delicate tracery of the trees emerging from the mist.

Court House Square, Goderich - 3 

It's Spring, so the foliage on the trees looks so fresh. The Saturday farmers' market is setting up around the Court House Square in Goderich. The first customers are about to arrive.

Court House Square, Goderich - 2 

Goderich suffered a terrible tornado a few years ago, which greatly damaged areas of the town, including Court House Square. The square is restored now along with the many damaged buildings. And that's a good thing.

Court House Square, Goderich - 1 

Goderich is described as Canada's prettiest town. I'm not sure who the authority is, but certainly the area around the Court House Square, actually an octagon, is a pleasure to visit.

Rainy Day At Piccadilly Circus

I love this image for the wonderful luminescence of the illuminated signs against the drabness of the rainy day, and the people scurrying past Eros with their umbrellas.

The Cloisters, Lincoln Cathedral - 1 

This image is of the cloisters at Lincoln Cathedral. As one of the great English cathedrals, there's unmistakable architectural beauty at every turn. The craftsmen who toiled in this place all those centuries ago left a legacy of remarkable merit. I hope my image captures some of that for you.

Looking Up Into The Central Tower, Lincoln Cathedral 

Lincoln Cathedral is an awe inspiring piece of medieval architecture. When I think of all the men who toiled so long ago to create such a masterpiece. Today their legacy is ours to behold. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do.

The Nave, Lincoln Cathedral 

I was fortunate enough to arrive at Lincoln Cathedral before the hordes of tourists filled the church. It gave me an opportunity to capture this image of the view looking back towards the main entrance. The cathedral is a stunning piece of medieval architecture; the stained glass windows, the columns, and the amazing vaulted ceiling. And oh such symmetry.

Along The Nave And Up Into The Tower, Lincoln Cathedral 

I suppose it is the ceilings in the great cathedrals that most captures my attention. They are amazing. When the worshipers looked to Heaven, they saw the incredible creations above their heads. These places sometimes took hundreds of years to build. The craftsmen who worked to construct these places probably spent their entire working careers on the one project. I hope that I have done their memories just with this image.
