Well, so much for her vaunted composure, then. Catria felt it slip away from her as soon as Marth lept down from his throne and seemed to skip towards her, her eyes wide as he tugged the woman into a hug. Her face burned a bright red as she was lifted off the floor, her mind seeming to crash down to the ground and break into a dozen or more pieces.
This was bad. She gulped, trying to gather herself back together again when he set her down and took a step back. A hand moved through her blue hair, the woman trying her best to compose herself while still listening to what he said.
“No, no, I’m fine - Est is as well. We found her. Got caught up in another war, but, well…” She trailed off, frowning as she forced her mind back into order and took a deep breath. Alright, she could deal with this. “The air is just - well, I mean, there’s a few things that…I…well…”
Gods help her, what would all of those friends she’d make do? She paused, staring at him with lips slightly parted for a second as all of her instincts screamed at her to just *do* something.
Well, fine then. She could repair their friendship afterwards if this turned out to sink it faster than most ships, and she was fed up of overthinking things. Instead she just grimaced, took a deep breath, and uttered a quick apology.
“Sorry.” She said, lamely, before grabbing the lapels of his shirt and tugging him forwards. Lips pressed against his, dry from fear and dread and fingers shaking from the nerves, and every instinct - which a moment ago had been screaming for her to do something like this - tried to tell her to pull back away again.
She wouldn’t. Not until she felt whatever his response was.

Marth’s pleasant smile could hold well to any challenege, but even he can’t keep concern from marring his expression when Catria contends with herself so... passionately in front of him.
Thinking too soon, however, that wasn’t the last of her passion he’d see in that moment. The beginnings of a sharp screech are replaces with the gasp that’s quickly silenced by her lips.
Her nice... warm lips. Were it not so much of a shock, he could have drowned in them.
He must be dreaming again, right? He knew Catria was to return this day, and indeed, he hadn’t been seeking out suiters in her absence simply because she was always in the corner of his mind. He’d love to say he had the self control to keep her in the corner, but some nights... ah.
The similar nagging voice in his mind tells him he’s the prince and needs to be gentle, treating a woman who wasn’t his wife the same way he’d treat something as fragile as a butterfly. Polite. Unlike her.
Well. If she was going to break the ice like this, the mischevious side of him wasn’t going to reciprocate “politely”. His usually delicate hands curl tightly into the fabric at her hips, yanking them against his own before his lips part against hers.
That was a yes. That was a hell yes.
