Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations - Bridge to the Turnabout (2004)
the difference between ryunosuke and phoenix in court is really funny. ryunosuke will be like "it sounds crazy, but i think i know exactly what will turn the tides in this case." and phoenix is like "i don't know what the FUCK i'm saying but if we keep going something is gonna happen probably so here we go."
Them. <3

Sunflower / Tulip
The only two flowers Phoenix knows the names of, representing the Defense and Prosecution badges 🌻🌷 :)
The sunflowers Miles is holding are all bloody to represent the death of his dad and of his dreams of being a defense attorney
The tulips on his lapel to represent his prosecutor’s badge blend in with his suit bc he doesn’t even wear his badge
There’s the shot in Von Karma’s shoulder (both Manfred and Franziska)
There’s blood on his hands, literally and figuratively
Blood coming from his mouth because of Terry Fawles eating the poison, his dad getting shot, and also because he’s been lying for years
Obviously the shot on his heart bc his dad, hidden underneath the tulips
And then the big tulip above his head is like a bloody crown (King of Prosecutors, an disgraced “heir” to the von Karma “throne”, heavy lies the head that wears the crown)
The tulips Phoenix is holding are pristine and not bloody to represent the chance at redemption that he offers for Miles
And the sunflower above his head is like a halo

One of my personal favorite hcs about Wright and his finances is based on smth Takumi says in one of the interviews, namely that Phoenix is worried about rent for the Wright and Co law offices in AA1 but "isn't anymore in subsequent games". I'm sure what he means is that Phoenix is no longer a rookie lawyer and gets enough cases that it's covered, but I take it to mean that Edgeworth, not knowing how else to thank Phoenix for Turnabout Goodbyes, just paid off the office's entire mortgage
Edgeworth desperately wanted to thank Phoenix but has no social skills or ability to get Phoenix to actually accept any gift. Luckily, he's rich and a prosecutor so he just circumvented Phoenix altogether, paid off the mortgage, and ensured the deed was in Phoenix's name, because this is how this weirdo shows affection
[ID: A digital illustration of Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney. There are three drawings of Edgeworth, all being bust drawings. In the top left his head is tilted slightly down, and he is looking off to the right. In the top right he is facing three quarters to the right and looking to the left with a small smile. At the bottom in the middle he is frowning slightly and raising one eyebrow. End description.]
Somehow still figuring out how I want to draw Edgeworth

This is me being a little silly, but I think it would be genuinely hilarious if Kristoph was a criminal defense attorney who specialized in fraud cases. Most of the cases he takes on involve falsified documents, insurance claims, etc etc. That's why he hired Apollo-- eyesight like that is a boon when a lot of your job is pouring over documents looking for the most miniscule of errors. It's also why Phoenix trusted him so quickly-- of course the fraud specialist knows Phoenix is innocent, he's had to deal with this all the time! It isn't until years later that Phoenix realizes oh, the guy who pours over forgeries for a living might actually be, shocker, good at getting away with forgeries. He's mentally kicking himself about it even now
