THE HIDDEN KALAS

Karna lived alone in mahendagiri with prabhu parshurama ji and studied. He had no other student besides him as he grew up. But, he do had someone besides his gurudev, gurumata Dharini.

Karna is actually a secret student of mata dharini too, she treated him like a child of her own and he learnt all the kalas he could from her. He is a master of more kalas than you can imagine.

He just doesn't like to show them off because who is interested in a suta's talent? Duryodhana is.

Karna plays veena tunes very beautifully and gracefully, softly humming along, sitting infront of the balcony of his room in the royal palace at night. While duryodhana is laying on another couch, listening to his lover's music while always brings him ethernal peace.

He is probably the only one who knows how good of karna is in almost all kalas and he would prefer to be the only one. Because neither does karna want anyone else to know neither does he want karna to play it for someone else.

I had never searched Mahabharat fandom(or any other hindu mythology related stuff) on Tumblr .I don't know why I didn't do it earlier but few days ago I did it, and the first thing I saw was karna/duryodhana fanart and holy moly, my jaw dropped cuz it was so beautiful and it got me in this ting ship fandom.Bless those who made such gorgeous fanart especially that Russian artist who made that pic where duryodhan was caging our ang-raj from behind *ahhhh***chief's kisses👀👀👀.

Everytime Duryodhan and Karn fight, you'll find 99 Kaurav bros shaking in fright like their parents are getting a divorce while Yuyutsu is rolling his eyes at 5 very confused Pandavs and Dusshala is enjoying the show and eating makkhanas.

Yudhishtir would have made an amazing clingy little brother. We were robbed, I tell you. ROBBED. Someone time travel back to Dwapar Yug and tell a young Karn and the Pandavs that he's their older bro (before Duryodhan tries to poison Bheem). I want to see Yudhishtir actually getting pissed off at Duryodhan because this guy is interfering with brotherly bonding time and complain to his 'Bhaiya' about Dury bullying them. I want Karn to be stuck in a state of fucking bafflement while he tries to unsuccessfully shake off a clingy Yudhishtir from his arm like a fly and also whisper yell at Duryodhan to stop troubling his brothers. But by Yamraj, Yudhi won't let go because FINALLY he gets to stop being the eldest and can make all his dreams come true about being a pampered little sibling. And Karn (and Dury) is just going to have to deal with it. Cry Duryodhan. Cry.

And Karn... Karn fucking LOVES having siblings. He loves being called Bhaiya because he's never had actual siblings before and that's one thing he often wishes he had. He's hated the Pandavs, but now that he knows the truth, he's going to protect them from Yamraj himself (never mind that Yudhi IS Yamraj's son) and bring them anything they want. The full potential of his older brother powers have been unlocked finally. While he was totally little brother-ing the Kauravs, they weren't completely his because Dury was their eldest (not that he has any issues with sharing. the guy will give Karn anything he wants lmao). But now Karn has his own little set of siblings and he's thrilled, but don't tell Yudhi or else he'll become even more clingy (Karn doesn't really mind).

PS This is NOTHING compared to how spoiled Arjun would have grown up had Karn been there. I just have a very strong feeling that these two would have been very close and it would have taken one look from Arjun's puppy dog eyes or a whiny 'Bhaiiiyyaaaa' to get him whatever the fuck he wanted from Karn.

Vidur got no rights calling Dhritrashtra incapable/unworthy of being king just because he's blind 😭 Not to mention, he suggested killing Duryodhana at birth, a literal baby just because of a few bad omens. Hastinapur had these types of people as ministers so no wonder the Kauravas turned out the way they did.
