“What is it this time?” Druig asked her with a smile, stopping himself from rolling his eyes. Sersi was endearing when she got like this, even if it did interrupt their walk more times than seemed necessary.

From his experience, beings like the Eternals sounded far to similar to gods, and he wanted nothing to do with them. Not when Khonshu unfortunately still had his talons deep into his psyche.

“You do, don’t you?” Druig’s eyes flickered gold, fast enough that one would have needed to be looking for it to see it. He had centuries upon centuries to explore the minds of humans and while he knew them well, he was constantly fascinated by them. The mind of the man before him was complex, but he only looked long enough to know that basic fact. “You don’t have to be so tense. What is it that you’re afraid of?”
