[Perhaps this was the silver lining in the dark cloud that was Hive City: Reimu had an allowance. While it was not exactly 4-star dining budget, it was still enough to enjoy food out much more often. The shrine maiden found a nice stand in the cultural sector, one of a decent taste and decent pricing. Even with the allowance, Reimu couldn’t bring herself to spend more than normal.]

[Reimu was used to eating alone in the city, but today a familiar voice called out to her as she she waited for her food.]

"Those who are captured are the fools, which makes you one as well. I thought immortals didn’t get hungry." [At this point, there was no need to be surprised at Mokou’s sudden appearance.]

—『 ◎ 』— Well wasn't she as pleasant as ever. Perhaps the hunger was the cause of her cranky mood, or perhaps being entrapped in a foreign location had soiled her mood. Most likely both. "Those who are captured are not fools, but victims. What makes a fool foolish is simply because they are a fool." Explaining about her not-so-immortal body was always a hassle, but the maiden deserved a response. "I can still get hunger pains. It hurts if I don't eat for too long. Besides, I'm not immortal in this place apparantly." Mokou revealed she was a mortal in Hive City in a frank manner.

Glancing at the food stand, she suddenly realized she didn't have the money required to buy what she wanted. Did she have to ear money like a regular human? What a pain. "So are the others here or is it just you?"

Silver strands caught visage immediately once in the field of vision. Scarlet eyes, narrow and fierce, peered into green, sweet and somber ones. Shakuntala was no stranger to hostility, finding it even comforting to find something, or rather someone, in the city who resembled her dear friend to of the past. Her unfriedly aura which surrounded her was comforting in an odd way thanks to memories.

She didn’t have the heart to tell the other that she only had a vague idea of the area they were in, but this would still be better than nothing. She would reply with written words on paper and a somewhat hesitant smile on her lips;

「 Sector one. 」

Hesitance stemmed from inner frustrations of not knowing their exact location aside from street names and certain landmarks (which were constantly changing every four hours mind you which didn`t help to make her get even more lost) rather than the piercing ruby orbs which stared harshly into the rakshasa`s own emerald hues.

「 Are you lost? I could help you a little if you need help getting to the train station. 」

—『 ◎ 』— Mokou didn't return the gentle smile, choosing to remain nonchalant and distant. It would be beneficial for her to forge bonds with people residing in the unknown city; but she had no intention of doing that. Even if she wasn't immortal within the city's walls, she was still a being who could never taste the joy of eternal death. She couldn't possibly befriend another soul. To smile with people she knew one day would disappear... It was too much of a hassle. "Oh yeah I forgot the locations here are called sectors. What a pain." It truly was troublesome.

"More or less. Don't really know where to go. I just wanna figure out how the city works." Vibrant red eyes gazed at the stranger for a moment. A part of her wanted to reject the offer; but then again, she didn't want to spend hours searching for a train station. Man, how long had it been since she last saw a train station? It had been a few centuries at least. "It'll be great if you could show me the way. It's better than searching around for hours."

—『 ◎ 』— Guiding humans through the unknown was her duty back in the land she hailed from. It was ironic to think that she was the one who needed guidance now. Removing her hand from her pocket, she scratched the back of her neck. Red eyes darted left and right. Travelling around the different areas in this city was so terribly complicated. Even though she had been alive for more than a few centuries, she had never encountered the technology present in Hive City. 'Guess even immortals don't know everything.' Oh right. Her immortal status had been revoked by the scientists in the city. That meant she would actually die if she slept in the cold.

The situation she was in was troublesome because she wasn't accustomed to thinking like a mortal. Death was in every corner; but it wasn't like she was afraid of it. Noticing a girl standing idly nearby, she decided it would be best to question her and then walk away. No point getting aquainted with humans. "Hey... What part of the city are we in now? I don't know anything about this place." She assumed the hostile and unfriendly aura emitting from her was enough to prevent others from wanting to get to know her on a deeper level.

—『 ◎ 』— Seated on the swing in the middle of the empty playground, she gently rocked forth and backwards while gazing at the sky. The sound of rusty metal creaking was the only noise present; but she preferred it this way. A small sigh escaped her lips. Mokou had no idea what to do. Back in Gensokyo, she spent most of her time assisting humans through the forest. It was either that or spending time with Keine or walking around. She couldn't even do any of those things in this strange world. The forest and her only friend wasn't present, and she was certain she would only end up losing her bearing if she attempted to wander around. Not like she particularly cared, but she didn't want to resort to asking humans for directions.

The voice of a young child snapped her out of her daze. A faint smile appeared on her face when she realized she was occupying the swing the kid probably wanted. The realization prompted her to stand up and hand it over to the young girl. "Sorry about that. I didn't even realize there was someone else here." The inhuman wings caught her attention, causing her to blink before asking. "Are you from Gensokyo?"

—『 ◎ 』— Panic washed over her face when she stepped out of the strange pod; but it was quickly overtaken by indifference. Since she lived most of her life as an immortal being, she had spent years watching her surroundings change. This drastic switch wasn't anything new. With her hands in her pockets, she found herself wandering around the strange and bustling city. This was not her ideal scene, but it was better than the grimy and damp area she had crawled out from. Argh. This was a really big pain.

The grumbling sound emitting from her stomach prompted her to let out an exasperated sigh. Ah that's right. She had yet to eat and since she was no longer immortal, she could actually die of starvation. Not like it made much of a difference since, according to the scientists, they would revive her again if she died. The only thing she would finally be able to experience was her heart growing still and motionless. Walking over to a food stand, she was mildly surprised to see a familiar face. The face of a fool. "... No wonder it was quiet back in Gensokyo. The fool who never failed to make a ruckus is here. You hungry too huh?"
