Follo’s crash out makes sense when you understand that his insecurity is one which he never allowed himself to show to anyone around him. He buried his feelings of inadequacy around them out of fear of being looked down on, but he couldn’t keep up that act any longer. However, on Rudo’s side, he saw Follo as the mask he put on, kind, caring, strong. He didn’t expect Follo to have acted how he did, but also he’s not unempathetic towards his struggles, but he’s annoyed because he felt like he was being judged for something he didn’t intend. It's honestly such a realistic conflict that adds to both characters so much. Rudo, despite trying to improve, still can't ever fully know what's going on in someone's head, and Follo finally learns to accept his true desires and emotions.

In a recent interview, Kei Urana-sensei stated that Rudo is actually based off Urana's younger self.

"At a young age, I had difficulty understanding other people’s feelings, and as a result I had the tendency to lash out at others or just act rashly. I wanted to take my immaturity as the reference for Rudo’s personality and have him develop over the course of the series." — Kei Urana
