the way you draw bodies is so fluid, and fascinating to me! You have wonderful art <3 would you be willing to share some tips on how to improve anatomy?

Thank you so much!!! I try my best to make it flowy so I’m happy it shows through, and sorry for my late response!!

for anatomy spesifically there’s a few things you can do and a few things to keep in mind! As for how to learn it , you could always find videos on YouTube but I recommend doing some sort of croqui/ life drawing! This is where you find poses either online or in video form and challenge yourself to draw them in 1 min , 5 min, -5 min etc! It helps you move faster but also makes you learn quick :^)

I keep in mind S, and I lines. (I put sent you an example of this) what’s really important is to try think about what you’re looking at in references, how does the leg connect to the hip, how does the hip connect to the ribcage, if you move the shoulder , what other body part moves along with it. It’s really difficult at first but it’s very fun once you get into it ‼️‼️‼️

Also not getting TOO caught up in things looking correct, if you learn the general shape of the muscle and tendons you can then stylize it as simple as you’d want, and this helps with making things fluid!

TLDR; find some good life drawing reference videos, and study them with time limits, simplify down to S, C and I lines as much as you can. And learn how muscles/tendons/bones move in according to each other!

I’d recommend reading it then watching it! While the anime is great, Kei Urana’s lines and paneling is truly in a class of its own and the anime can struggle to capture it! And there’s a lot of details in the anime that you’ll notice after reading it first. Not to mention, catching up to the manga is a good way to avoid getting spoiled lol!! So I’d recommend reading it and then watching it!
