We were out with a friend last night and he made it clear that he noticed an unnatural change in my crotch. My boyfriend and I looked at each other and smiled. I wanted to tell him, so I ripped off the Band-Aid and said, “You’ve got a good eye. I’m caged, like a faggot.” I started to laugh, but when I looked at my boyfriend, he was not laughing. He looked at me and said, “You’re not caged like a faggot. You’re caged because you are a faggot. Say it!” Our friend and I instantly stopped laughing. I apologized but he was uninterested. “Say it,” he repeated. I looked at my friend and then sheepishly said, “I’m caged because I’m a faggot.” he nodded, smiled and said, “Good boy.”

That was the first time I ever felt like I was treated like I was in fact a faggot. As you might imagine it wasn’t the last.
