“It was over my head.”
“You poor thing...” the succubus cooed, moving her hand to cup the side of the boy’s face -- as if to attempt comforting him. “You’re in so much pain.”

“It was over my head.”
“You poor thing...” the succubus cooed, moving her hand to cup the side of the boy’s face -- as if to attempt comforting him. “You’re in so much pain.”
wcrningsign:
“That sounds nice right about now.”
“So? What is the real problem?”

“Sleep don’t visit, so I choke on the sun.”
“I could blot it out, for you.”
eleanor-parker:
Eleanor shook her head as if she were trying to get out of a trance. “I don’t know you. I don’t know why I’m even having this conversation with you.” It definitely wasn’t a topic that she wanted to even discuss at all. “You can believe what you want, but I’m just not buying it. So, let’s just leave it at that.”
“Of course, beautiful,” the fallen angel mused, still smiling. “And it’s not what I want to believe -- it is what I am -- everything I’ve ever known. Let’s leave that at that.”
eleanor-parker:
“God, Angels, Demons,” she listed, “It all stems from the same belief system.” Honestly, Eleanor wasn’t sure why she was having this conversation with a complete stranger. This was about five thousand steps away from her comfort zone. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and looked up as if the sky held the answers she was looking for. “From what I’ve heard, demons were never human to begin with. Evil spirits exist, sure. Demons? I’m not convinced.” She inhaled slowly, “No, I don’t feel inhuman. Witches are human. We can die. Vampires and werewolves were human at one point. As for the rest, I’ve never known enough to care.”
“The generalized system of belief. Every religion on this planet has some form of benevolent and malevolent spirits.” Eisheth was enjoying the conversation, and not because the girl was getting heated. If anything, it interested her to see someone to adamant about denying such a large part of the world she was born in. “There are all kinds of demons, but you are right, some were never human at all. Whether they were once creatures of light, or created from residual and corrupt energies... they were never mortal. Not like you at all. But just as everything is born, everything must then die. I wouldn’t let yourself feel intimidated if I were you.”
eleanor-parker:
“Of course not. It’s foolish to believe in such things. I believe in spirits. The only thing I remember about death is being alone and trapped. No heaven, no hell. Nothing.”
“I see what the problem is,” she spoke in a wise voice. “You don’t believe in God -- and I don’t blame you. But what is a demon.. if not just a spirit that’s been warped and twisted beyond recognition? Do you not feel inhuman?”
eleanor-parker:
“Riiight. Because those exist.”
“And demons? Do you believe in them? ” The succubus smiled wildly at the girl. ”You’ve touched death. Tell me -- Have you not seen Hell staring back at you?”
eleanor-parker:
“What are you?”
“I’m an angel, sweetheart, but I go by many different names.”
eleanor-parker:
Eleanor froze and looked past her, “How do you know that?”
“I didn’t know for sure.”
eleanor-parker:
“That’s pretty darn old.”
“I do what I can to remain humble,” she spoke in agreement. “You are much older than you look, too -- a girl lost in time. It’s very interesting.”
eleanor-parker:
“I’m guessing you have power?”
“I’m as old as the Earth itself.”
theirhorror:
“just surrounded by special people.”
“they know you are too. that’s why they love you.”
eleanor-parker:
“I’m well aware of the ugliness in the world.”
“Power is not ugly. It is strikingly beautiful.. but to have power, one must not.”
theirhorror:
“she must be pretty amazing and by the sounds of it she’s very lucky to have you. however my world isn’t exactly human anymore.”
“so you are special,” she purred. “i knew it.”
eleanor-parker:
“That’s a different perspective than I was going for, but okay.”
“It was just a reminder.”
theirhorror:
aria giggled, feeling some of her nerves melt away as the other went on. “i don’t usually have to come out and say it. other humans assume it and everyone else can usually tell. if i had to take a guess i think the reaction would be kinda underwhelming.”
“a human in a human’s world may be underwhelming, but my sister is human. one of the first, but human all the same. and she is.. she is extraordinary. i admire no one more.”
eleanor-parker:
“I think some people do. The earth is full of beautiful things.”
“Beautiful, dangerous things.”
