Etherium (#16805) The great city Requiem was mysteriously abandoned in ages past, leaving its colossal monuments overgrown with moss and crumbling into the sea. Juggernauts of the priesthood’s arsenal against Shade, hewn purifiers can be seen scouring Shade-infested ruins with their breath, leaving broad swaths of steaming, consecrated earth in their wake.

Hewn purifiers are the juggernauts of Requiem's defensive arsenal against the Shade. Subjected in the shell to a process called Shade tempering, during which their eggs are ritually abandoned in the Hewn City to harden, their armored scales are impervious to the Shade’s corrupting influence. They can be seen scouring Shade-infested ruins with their Light-infused breath, leaving broad swaths of steaming, consecrated earth in their wake.

They are flightless due to the enormous weight of their tempered hides, which often form fine cracks, revealing veins of pure Light beneath. Only about one egg in twenty survives the tempering process, and only those belonging to guardian dragons, which hatch with the single-minded charge to obliterate any trace of Shade corruption in their path.

we need a fishing minigame where the npc is a ridgeback. not only because it makes complete sense one would leverage the economy to get what they need, but also because I think it’d be hilarious.

As much as I’m a little bummed by this year’s festival (I’m not into Ancients, and the couple breeds I sort of like aren’t represented) it’s cool to look forward to the future when festivals will have a whole shop’s worth of rewards available every month—expanded genes, permanent scene(s?), etc. I feel like staff is playing a long game, and while it might feel somewhat disappointing right now, it’s going to pay off in the future.

Finished custom dragon design commission for Salamoonder on FR of their pearlcatcher dragon Tealeaf (He/They/She).

I got super inspired by the prompt of making the ghost gene an actual presence instead of a flat gene and proceeded to go all out because how cool is that!
