not gonna lie, it was heart breaking when mary died. But i kinda really like the "abstract" way they showed it, it is one of the most beautiful and peaceful deaths I have ever seen in a tv show and I am so thankful for that.

there’s just something so personal and touching in coming back to anne after years. it’s hard to put into words but it makes me remember the time when i was little, around 9 or 10 and reading all of the books, in polish, relating to anne and seeing myself as her and learning from her, getting to know all the characters. and now years later i’m an adult and while so many things about me have changed, the way i see the world, the way i identify, even my personality, i still go back to these times as a kid while i’m watching this show, this time in english. and there’s this change in perspective too: while reading the books many things would go over my head and the story itself was of course different. and while usually i appreciate sticking to the continuity of the books, here i’m so grateful for the shown inclusivity, not only do i relate more to the characters and the whole premise has more depth, i also feel as if it was anne herself who evolved along with me. the nostalgia of it and the way it has changed from the book while also keeping key parts identical and exactly how i imagined them for years makes this show truly special for me, a queer, non binary kid trying to find accaptance, it’s just so comforting to know i would be able to find it in anne
