And the night smells like snow. Walking home for a moment you almost believe you could start again. And an intense love rushes to your heart, and hope. Itâs unendurable, unendurable.
Franz Wright, closing lines to âNight Walkâ Godâs Silence: Poems (Alfred A. Knopf, 2006)

Who plays the ukulele?
TRICK QUESTION THEY ALL PLAY THE UKULELEÂ
I donât know why but like I really want Clinton to be the drummer.
âThey told me girls canât be drummers. I said fuck'em.â
Clinton - drums and vocals
Obama - vocals and guitar
Kane - bass
Bernard - keyboards
then yeah, when a ukulele has to be played, one of them will play it. they can also play the banjo

The problem with suicidal thoughts is that theyâre not just there when your sad. Youâll be there, chillin, reading a book or talking to a friend and youâll think âThis is nice. But do you know what would be better? Death.â
@lumos-vs-nox  This is referred to as âmild suicidal ideationâ or the desire for suicide without substantial action behind it. It often happens when someone deals with prolonged mental health issues and suicidality at a young age. When youâre young, we go through a period where our neural pathways completely rearrange- the things that happen to us at that time will influence these changes. In a way, suicidal ideation becomes an ingrained coping mechanism. A sort of âwell at least suicide is always there for meâ. Your brain is part-muscle, it remembers things, it learns, itâs super great at adapting, this is just a reflex. It doesnât mean you are weak, it doesnât mean you arenât in recovery.
thank you for posting this, you turned a feeling many people have into words!

This is literally so heart breaking, sheâs suffered every childâs worse nightmare. Her family was taken from her, there were no government officials there to help her when she was sitting in an empty house scared, worried and alone waiting for something to know they were okay. They just detained and deported her family back to Colombia and she was only 14 years old. Imagine going home to an empty house and not knowing what happened to your family or if they were okay. Please understand what having trump as a president really means not only to Diane Guerrero but to millions of immigrants and their families and friends.
(3/3) âI miss that we canât go out and dance. Or visit other people. We used to volunteer at the senior center every Wednesday. Sheâd play the piano, and Iâd turn the pages for her. The hymns were some of the last things she remembered. Music was her life. But one day she wouldnât play anymore. And I told the staff that theyâd need to find someone else. So we stay here now. But I donât see this as a curse. Itâs an honor. This is what the Lord has given me to do. She has served this family her entire life. And now itâs my turn to serve her. I might not have her mentally. But I have her. I can still make her smile. I can make bubbly noises, and blow on her, and sheâll smile. Every morning weâll sit in this chair and weâll cuddle until noon. I rock this lady more than I rock my grandchildren. She likes to slip her hand under my shirt to feel my skin. And she still likes to kiss. Every once in awhile sheâll reach up and give me a kiss. Sometimes she starts âyakking.â She doesnât say actual words. And it doesnât make any sense. But I never tell her to be quiet, because itâs better than nothing at all.â
