iâll throw a few more details about my angel (haha, not) down under the cut but in the meantime give this a ⥠and iâll pop into your dms to plot! (or just ask for my discord, iâm super active there)

debuted in the group holiday in 2016 with the stage name noelle. the group disbanded in 2017 after 2 comebacks when their entertainment company went bankrupt.
there was speculation at the time about eunbyeolâs debut in the group being financed by her parents.
trained under another entertainment company from 2017 until 2020 but she left out of frustration after spending years being promised that she would have the chance to redebut.
currently trains independently while self-producing music that she performs mainly at underground venues under the stage name nova.
eunbyeolâs ultimate goal is to debut as a soloist. she doesnât like the idea of being in another group but will do what she needs to make it to the top.
dai wanted to recoil back into himself when she looked at him, or rather through him. he got the feeling at least from the way she quickly took over the available space that sheâd be happy to see him leave. and his timid nature meant that he probably wouldnât fight for his spot back if she decided to fully take it over. but part of him also felt like he should stand up for himself. at least a little bit.
âi-i was here first.â the wavering voice wasnât exactly the best start. but dai stuck to his guns even if the idea of confrontation was making him want to throw up a little bit. âi donât mind sharing but you⊠kind of took over.â his original intention of asking her to hold his spot was now a background thought.
daiâs heart was thundering in his ears making him feel like it was practically audible to everyone in the coffee shop. he really hated confrontation of any type, not that he was sure this could be called a confrontation. his voice had barely broken the whisper register but that was an issue with his own self-confidence. he was, however, genuinely feeling a little put out by this girl acting like she owned the table. especially when she didnât even know him.
eunbyeol stares at him for just a little too long, confusion evident on her face. so what if he was there first? was that actually supposed to mean something to her? she thought it over for a moment longer. âokay, you were here first? but, iâm here now? so... your point is what is exactly?â
she gestured to the tiny corner of the table that contained his things. eunbyeol thought that she was being very considerate in not asking him to move them so that she could have all of the table space to herself. âi left that for you, didnât i? you didnât seem to be using the rest of it so i really donât see what the problem is? canât really take over space if it isnât being used.âÂ
she raised her eyebrows, almost as if she were daring dai to contradict what she had said. though, it would probably make eunbyeolâs day if she were given the opportunity to put someone in their place. âif thatâs too much of a problem for you then iâm sure you could find a table of your own if you went elsewhere. otherwise, donât be greedy and be happy with what you have. thereâs people out there who have it worse than you.âÂ
the night had been fairly slow and that was just how jihun liked it. then again, if the small convenience store had suddenly become busy at any point throughout the night, heâd still be sitting back in the chair that he had brought from the backroom so that he was able to sit behind the counter rather than stand. if any customers wanted to make a mess or even steal something while he was working, theyâd better do it without waking him up from one of his many impromptu naps. they at least owed him that much courtesy.Â
so when the door opened again, sounding off the high-pitched ding! that he often heard whenever he was trying to sleep at night, jihun didnât even bother to look up from his phone. it wasnât like customers needed to be greeted, as far as he was concerned. why should he give them any kind of attention before they were actually trying to buy something? he didnât get paid enough to act like each and every person who walked through the door was his best friend.
the loud thud of snacks being dropped onto the counter made him jump and stare with wide eyes at the person who stood in front of him. what was with the look that you were giving him? it was almost as if he was supposed to recognize you, or at the very least, admire you for some unknown reason. if he werenât already taken aback by your abrupt actions, then your beauty would be enough to stun him into silence. but you were confusing him more than anything. not that it took much to turn his brain into goo. âumâ am i supposed to know what my phone number is off the top of my head?â
although he spent all of his time at work using his phone to scroll through funny videos and catchup on webtoons, jihun didnât actually know how to do much else on the device. maybe it was a good thing that he didnât actually have any friends, because trying to type out a coherent sentence on the electronic keyboard was enough to make him breakdown into tears. his eyes slowly look down to examine the pile of snacks and sweets that were taking up the entire counter. he then looks back over to you with a blank expression. âare you poor, or something?â
eunbyeol couldnât help but to look at the cashier with a look of disgust. sure, he had a face that was nice to look at, but the more words that spilled from his mouth the more certain she was that he had to be one of the most idiotic people that she had ever encountered. âuh, first of all, i was going to give you my phone number. which i do know off of the top of my head like any other sane person.âÂ
she scoffed, pushing the snacks across the counter towards him. âjust put them in a bag for me. itâs your loss if youâre going to turn down the opportunity to have me as a contact. any other boy would be jumping at the chance. are you missing a few screws in your head or something?â she tapped her fingers on the countertop impatiently as she stared him down, waiting for him to apologize and hand over her bag of snacks so she could continue on her way home.Â
the next words out of jihunâs mouth caused her jaw to drop as she gasped loud enough to draw the attention of the few other individuals who occupied the store. âpoor? you think that iâm poor? would i look like this if i were?â she dramatically gestured to herself, making sure to draw attention to her meticulously crafted outfit. âare you trying to insult me? because youâve done it. iâm going to make sure that your manager hears about this.â she glared at jihun as she waved her finger at him like a mother scolding their toddler. âyouâre going to regret ever making me mad. iâm going to make sure of that.âÂ
âI knew it!â he cheered before seeing that he was drawing the attention of some of his classmates, so he did his best to calm down. âNova, okay, I can do that,â he said, nodding seriously as he tried to commit that to memory. He was still a bit in disbelief that she had come to this class, with him, in the same room. It was crazy to even think about. âThough itâd be really cool if we became friends, like that would make my year.â
At her invitation, he smiled wide and nodded once. âYeah, for sure!â He quickly sat down next to her, but giving her plenty of room to stretch herself. He began his own stretching before his curiosity and blunt nature got the better of him; the excitement of meeting Noe-Nova (he mentally corrected himself) was causing his already pretty non-existent filter to be worse. âSo whatâre you doing here?â He then realized that was a potentially rude question, so he backed up. âI-I mean, like⊠youâre an idol, did you just hear about this class online? The teacherâs great, youâll really like her, but like⊠I just never expected you to be here!â
eunbyeol stifled a laugh. not necessarily at the boy beside her, but rather at his reaction to their meeting. he wasnât usually the type that she would go out of her way to make friends with (though, friends were not something that she went out of her way to make all that often) but perhaps he could posses something that would be useful enough to her to warrant keeping him around. after all, there was no point in forming relationships if they werenât beneficial in some way.Â
she had arrived early enough to deem herself stretched enough for the class, instead opting to rest her chin on her knees as she watched mason settle in beside her and start his own pre-class stretching. her eyebrows raised at the suddenness of the question, simply shrugging in reply. âboredom, i guess? not like i have much else going on to take up my mornings.â
she laughed at the idol comment, using every ounce of willpower not to roll her eyes. âcorrection. was an idol. you seem to know enough about my group to know that.â she looked around the room, zoning in on who appeared to be the teacher. âiâll take your word for it, i suppose. she doesnât look like anything special.â turning her focus back to mason she looked him over. âso. what are you doing here?â
thereâs a local cafe that hosts an open mic night on the third thursday of every month. while initially a very small event, itâs since grown to be a local attraction and signing up to perform frequently requires sitting through several months on the waiting list. poets, songwriters, singers, dancers, rappers, instrumentalists, and performers of all kinds now flock to the cafe once per month to share inspiration and their talents with one another.
you signed up, perhaps on a whim, months ago. finally, just last week, you received an email that your spot in the queue has finally come up! youâre on the roster for this monthâs open mic talent night.
maybe youâre nervous when you perform. maybe youâve had this planned since you originally signed up months ago. but thereâs definitely a different sort of pressure when itâs finally your turn. sure, itâs no audition or even an especially large performance. but you know that everyone in the room waiting to watch you is a creative in their own right. and no one is pickier than fellow artsy types.
that said, once you get up on the tiny cafe stage and show what you prepared, no one has a bad thing to say about it.
the applause at the end of your performance echoes around the little cafe and it might be your imagination, but youâre pretty sure it was a little bit louder for you than it was for all of the previous acts. and your suspicions are confirmed when you return to your seat back in the audience and the other cafe-goers whisper to you about how good you were, how much they enjoyed your performance, and how they hope that youâll sign up to participate again since everyone liked it so well.
you have to admit, it feels pretty good to get all of this positive attention. of course, you and the rest of the audience are polite and watch the rest of the performances scheduled for that night, but itâs yours that everyone is talking about as they walk out the door.

dai had hardly expected to snag a table. heâd actually somewhat expected that he was going to be taking his coffee home and having to just deal with drinking and walking. he was still waiting on his breakfast sandwhich so he was trying not to suck down his iced caramel macchiato while he waited. he was a bit worried he might lose his seat if he got up but he supposed if he did then heâd just have to figure out a spot to eat his sandwhich outside.
however before he could think too much about it someone settled opposite of him. she hadnât even asked if the spot was open. not that dai necessarily minded sharing a table with someone else. but the speed with which she took over nearly every available inch of space made him wonder briefly if sheâd actually seen him before she sat down.
âuhâŠ.hi?â dai said weakly. he wasnât really sure what else to say. mostly he just wanted to make his presence known. so that he could maybe have some of the table too. and if she was feeling particularly generous maybe sheâd watch daiâs spot for him so that when his sandwhich was ready he wouldnât have to search for another spot.
eunbyeol barely glanced up to acknowledge her table mate. her eyes trailed over him for a fraction of a second before returning to the papers she had busied herself in shuffling around. it seemed she had little method to her actions other than to take up as much of the table space as possible for herself.
after she deemed herself satisfied with the mosaic that she had created on the table she finally looked up at the boy who was seated across from her. maybe heâd decide to leave soon. and then she could have a whole table for herself in the crowded cafe.Â
she looked him over for a very long moment before finally replying. âcan i help you with something?âÂ
Mason was not a morning person, but he loved this teacher, so he always made it a point to get out of his bed and come dance. He yawned as he entered the studio, greeting the front desk woman and giving his credit card. He spent more on dance classes than he did in rent, and that was something his parents didnât understand, but Mason knew it would be worth it (eventually).
He apparently got here a bit earlier than usual, which was out of character for Mason. Maybe he was maturing. He hoped so, at least, only took him twenty years. It was impossible for him not to notice the pink haired new girl stretching in the center. Great! He loved having new people in the class, more potential for new friends. He put down his bag and started to approach her when he saw her face in the mirror and his eyes went wide.
That⊠was Noelle. That was Noelle!
Mason usually wasnât a big fan of âcuteâ concepts when he listened to kpop (performing them was a different story), but that was just a testament to how good Holiday was that he loved their songs. He remembered had Wee Woo stuck in his head when he had a biology test the week it was released. And the main vocal and center of Holiday was in this class? What?
He realized he was standing there for a moment too long before he shook his head to get out of his stupor and actually greet her.
âHi! Wow, um⊠this might be a weird question, but⊠are you Noelle?â he asked. This was just a formality, he never forgot the face of a kpop star. Forgetting to wash the dishes? Yes, all the time. The face of the center for a group that disbanded years ago? Never.
eunbyeol was sitting with her legs in a v, her head practically touching her knee as she stretched while watching people slowly filter in for the class in the mirror. from the interaction between them, it seemed as if it were a fairly regular crowd. that didnât matter though, she wasnât here to make friends.Â
her eyes locked on the boy before he had even started making his way over to her, the trace of a smile appearing on her lips as she watched the realization suddenly hit him in the face. there were very few things that eunbyeol loved more than attention and it seemed as if she had come to the perfect place to get it.Â
eunbyeol wasnât always the nicest person to cross paths with. but, it was the boys lucky day. she would never be mean to a fan. âmhm.â she murmured softly, moving to stretch to the other side before looking up at him. âitâs nova now, though. or maybe eunbyeol if weâre friends.â she sat up straight, drawing her legs in to her chest as she nodded to the floor space beside her. âare you going to join me?âÂ
eunbyeol isn't surprised when the man with strange fashion choices approaches her at greenplugged. it isn't the first time she's been invited to an audition. but, she's still content. lime entertainment was a name that she knew well enough and maybe they would finally be the company to have what it takes without fucking her over.
it's not her first audition. she's been to more than enough to believe that she's perfected the process at this point. it's 6:50 in the morning as she approaches the building, pausing long enough to smooth the front of her plain white shirt (although it had already been meticulously pressed by her fathers housekeeper before she left the house that morning). she had paired it with a pair of jeans, fresh off the rack of her favourite department store along with the minimal makeup to complement what eunbyeol believed to be her best features. she sizes up the other hopefuls who were eagerly awaiting their chance at fame alongside her, letting out a quiet snort under her breath.
she breezes through the forms (she's filled similar ones out enough times to already know everything that the company could possibly want to know). the photos that follow are the easiest part. eunbyeol knows that she's pretty and she knows exactly how to highlight that in a photo, smiling just enough to show off the singular dimple that appears on the right side of her face. she's at ease through the process. eunbyeol knows she's destined to be a star. it's just up to the company to realize that.
she hands the staff the usb stick with her name engraved on the side as she enters the room. it contains the singular 30 second song clip she needs for her audition. drive by miyeon from quartz. eunbyeol is smart enough not to choose one of her original songs, despite wanting to. she waits in line, manicured hands crossed neatly in front of herself as she awaits her turn in the line. she tries to keep her expression neutral as she awaits, despite having to listen to the auditions of the others in the group that she was placed in. some people had no right to have been invited to audition alongside someone like her.
she gives a quick bow to the judges, smile plastered upon her face. "ryu eunbyeol. number twenty-seven." she keeps it short, only the basics that they had asked for before performing the song that she had prepared. it was the perfect choice, if you asked her, choosing to showcase her vocals above everything else while also having the slight movement to it in order to show the judges that she knew all too well how to keep a rhythm to go along with her performance with the simple movements that went along with her song of choice.
she gives another quick bow after finishing, returning to the relaxed position with her hands crossed in front of her as she braced herself for any questions that the judges may throw her way.
"i'm here because music is all that i've ever known."
"i want to be apart of lime entertainment because your artists are talented in a way that you don't see with any other company. i think i have the potential to grow to that level."
"my greatest strength? i believe it would be that i've been preparing for this since childhood. i've had classical training in singing and dance."
"as for weaknesses. i like to take on too much sometimes."
she gives another quick bow upon answering the questions. holding eye contact with the judges until they move on to the next hopeful individual. she maintains her posture until the group is escorted out, immediately wiping the smile from her face as she walks away from the building.
unabashedly, yuji lets her eyes flicker over the girlâs features now that sheâs closer. memorizing and analyzing them to her memory; itâs bothersome feeling, to recognize and not be able to pinpoint. tongue poking the inside of her cheek, she brushes it off instead to listen attentatively when the other girl begins to speak.
âi did,â yuji perks up when sheâs finished speaking, her own smile widening at the sight of the otherâs. âi feel lucky that i got the chance to. i wouldnât have wanted to miss a moment of it.â she crosses her arms loosely under her chest, shifting balance from one leg to another. cocking her head to the side, she blinks, her eyebrows raising as her mouth opens in surprise. yujiâs impressed; she doesnât even have the guts to perform something original to a crowd quite yet. âwow,â uncrossing her arms, she claps the tips of her fingers together in the form of a soft applause. âyou are incredible.â it slips out of her forwardly, and her cheeks redden at it, but yuji smiles through it. âyour performance felt reallyâŠnatural. like you were meant to be up there.â
a natural. yuji blinks, brows furrowing in thought before a lightbulb goes off in her head. letting out soft noise, one hand lifts to play with her hair in thought. âah, actuallyâ i know we havenât met,â she starts. âbut you lookâŠvery familiar. are you, by chanceâŠum,â she lowers her voice a bit, head tilting to the side as she assesses the girl curiosly. âare you an idol?â itâs a shot in the dark, but it would make sense if it were true. and yuji is absolutely sure sheâs seen the girl before. absolutely sure!
a trace of a smile appeared on eunbyeolâs face as she watched the girl ramble away. she slowly looked her over, humming happily under her breath. eunbyeol was always happy when she deemed herself prettier than her company (which was almost all of the time). sure, the other girl was pretty enough. but she was no eunbyeol.
the smile reached her eyes as eunbyeol basked in the compliments. yes. she was born to be on the stage. the girl must be quite smart to have realized it that quickly. âiâm glad you enjoyed it. i would love to have you out again sometime to watch another set. i perform pretty regularly around her.â she waved her hand around the room, as if it captured the aura of everything that she meant. âiâll give you my socials so you can keep track of where you can find me next time.âÂ
the smile quickly fell from her face, though not completely. it was the kind of harsh smile that someone put on in order to pretend. âex-idol.â she grumbled, traces of bitterness on her tongue. âthey didnât know what they were letting go of. their own mistake, though.âÂ
soyi was pretty sure she knew most of the people on the scene. this was her normal stomping ground, even if she wasnât accepted in it at first. but thingâs had changed and now, soyi considered herself pretty friendly with a lot of people. and there was someone she had recently met that had been playing on her mind.Â
soyi watched as nova left the stage after finishing her last set. there was a throng of bodies and she easily weaved through them, coming to stop next to the other woman. âyour drink is on me tonight.â for a job well down but she really needed an opening. âand iâll take whatever sheâs having.â then her attention turned back to nova, âwhere you in a girl group before? i thought so but i couldnât place.âÂ
the club wasnât eunbyeolâs regular. but she had performed there enough times to be comfortable on the small stage (albeit, there was seldom a time when eunbyeol wasnât comfortable on a stage). she finished up her set, quickly giving her usual goodbye and self-promo before exiting the stage.Â
still riding on the high that came along from performing, eunbyeol made her way over to the bar. you never know the type of people who could be in the crowd watching and eunbyeol tended to take it upon herself to mingle, trying to scout out anyone who was someone. however, the girl who approached was not the usual someone that eunbyeol found herself searching for. doing her best not to grimace as she looked the other girl over, she nodded once. âmhm. holiday. iâll take makgeolli, please.âÂ
the only thing that eunbyeol lacked in her life was time. if it werenât for the already packed schedule that she lived by she would be packing her life even more full of every type of lesson possible. it was always so rewarding to become the best in a class. that was why there was no hesitation of her behalf as she swiped her dadâs credit card and waltzed her way into the early morning dance class that she stumbled across online.Â
sure, eunbyeol had spent the better part of her life classically training in dance, but maybe there was something that the class could teach her. and if there wasnât, at least sheâd be able to grow her ego by excelling compared to the other students in the class.Â
she tossed her bag into the far corner of the room before making her way to the centre, tying her pretty pink hair back loosely and setting to work on stretching before the class began.Â
itâs late and eunbyeol is in a mood. she had the kind of temper that, for the sake of their safety, people would want to avoid. the look on her face was enough to make the poor teenager peacefully browsing quickly jump out of her way as she threw open the door of the convenience store.
not a care in the world about the poor employee that had to deal with her aftermath, eunbyeol stormed though the store as she filled her arms with any sort of sweets that she thought would soften the miserable mood that had overtaken her. making her way to the register, she dumped the armful of treats onto the countertop before crossing her arms and staring down the poor boy who was stuck working the overnight shift at the store.Â
after a moment her expression softened as she batted her eyelashes at the employee. âtell you what, honey. itâs your lucky day. iâll give you my number and weâll call it even for all of this.â sure, one thing that eunbyeol did not lack in was money. but she did love getting presents. even if she bullied her way into receiving them.Â
eunbyeol usually wasnât one for public transit. rather, she preferred to opt for bumming rides off of friends or whining until her dad dropped everything to go and pick her up. in eunbyeolâs world she lived in the clouds. and clouds were above everyone, much like how she saw herself compared to the vast majority of the general public. which was her reasoning behind her avoidance of public transit.Â
the only difference between today and most others was that, in her rush to be on time for her gig, she had completely forgotten to grab her phone as she ran out of the house which left her with no way to bother anyone for a ride home from the club. sure, she couldâve called from any other phone. but that would involve knowing a phone number other than her own and why would she take the time to memorize something like that?Â
if left her with no choice but to climb aboard the bus, quickly making her way as far back as possible and sinking into the seat beside a stranger without so much as a nod hello. it didnât take long for the exhaustion of her gig (mixed with a few post-show drinks) to hit her and she very quickly found herself drifting off, slumping over against the poor boy who was seated beside her.
though daunting for some, the crowded midday rush at the cafe doesnât phase eunbyeol in the slightest. she had always been so used to getting her own way. the thought of not being able to find a space to sit didnât even exist in her mind (if it came to it, obviously someone would move just so eunbyeol would have somewhere to seat her pretty little self).Â
that didnât seem to be a problem though as she waltzed over to the open side of a table, not so much as glancing at the boy who occupied the other side. of course he wouldnât have a problem sharing his space. he should be grateful that eunbyeol deemed him good enough to share a table with.Â
humming under her breath, eunbyeol wastes no time in slamming down her iced americano and spreading the contents of her bag across every empty spot that remained on the table before sinking down into the empty seat with a sigh.Â
as you step off of the open mic stage, man with bleached, spiky hair and sunglasses approaches you. however bad his fashion sense may be, at least you can appreciate the confidence. he singles you out in particular, asking if you have a moment to talk as he hands you a business card. it reads âshin minseok, talent acquisition, lime entertainmentâ with his contact information.
âyouâre not too bad looking,â he tilts his head this way and that, almost sizing you up as if heâs still deciding if you have what it takes for whatever heâs about to offer. âand you definitely caught our attention up there on stage. what do you think about auditioning for lime entertainment?â
he seems satisfied with his evaluation of you, nodding as if confirming his own decision is a good one. âif youâre interested, give me a call. weâre having a bunch of private auditions next month and i still have a couple of slots to fill. i think youâve got something special and we can help take that to the next level. if youâre willing to put in the work, of course.â
shin minseok sticks around for a couple of minutes to make sure he answers any of your most pressing questions, letting you know to wear something comfortable and plain if you plan to audition, not to wear any visible brand names or too much makeup, and that it might take a couple of hours to get through the process with how the queue usually gets backed up, so bring water and snacks since they will not be provided.
OOC:
please post this section under a read more with the rest of the submission.
congratulations! your muse has been invited to audition for lime entertainment! auditions will take place on saturday, august 13th at the lime entertainment administrative building. your muse will be instructed that check-in begins at 7am and no auditionees will be allowed in after it closes promptly at 8am. the check-in process involves filling out a form on an ipad which is essentially a performance resume, asking about any previous experience, training, or special skills along with basic information such as name, date of birth, email, address, phone number, height, and weight. each auditionee will also be assigned a number at check-in.
while not a public audition, the waiting room will be full of other teens and young adults who were recruited by lime entertainment talent scouts. ten hopefuls will be lead into the evaluation room at a time, with the next ten lined up by the door waiting for their turn. it can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes for the next group to be escorted into the room.
the first room the auditionees are taken to is a makeshift photography studio with a plain white backdrop. each hopeful will be given a quick camera test, a few profile shots snapped from different angles. the cameraman will direct your muse to smile, but not to pull any serious or crazy expressions.
both the photos and the forms that were filled out during check-in will be sent to the evaluators, who will meet the group of ten in the next room over.
once in front of the evaluators, each auditionee will have 60 seconds to impress the judges with a performance of their own choice. please note that background music will have to be prepared in advance; a staff member will ask for a USB or CD with the backtrack as you enter the room. if you did not prepare any, youâll have to perform a capella. there is a video camera in the room recording every audition.
each auditionee will be expected to step forward and introduce themselves by name and number once its their turn. the judges may let you perform the entire 60 seconds or may cut you off early. after everyone in the room has performed, the evaluators may ask a few basic questions: why are you here? why do you want to be part of lime entertainment? can you explain or show this other talent you listed on your form? what do you think your greatest strength is? your greatest weakness?
once the evaluators are done with the group, theyâll be dismissed through a different door than the one they entered into. theyâll be thanked for coming by a staff member and told that the judges will consider their auditions carefully and theyâll be in touch once a decision is made. the auditionees will be escorted out of the building.
TASK:
please write a 300+ word solo about your museâs audition. while youâre welcome to write about the entire process, please be sure to include what specifically your muse performed for the judges in their allotted 60 seconds. you can choose if they were cut off or allowed to perform it all.
please submit a link to your solo to the event blog once itâs complete. all solos are due no later than 11:59pm on saturday, august 20th.
turns out the girl isnât quite as nice as she looks. eunae watched as the otherâs eyes dart over her, clearly sizing her up. whatever. she wasnât phased by that or how rude the other girlâs behavior came off as. she wouldnât let one girlâs bad behavior get her down, not when she knew she could be just as fiesty.
âclearly,â eunae said sharply, holding back the urge to roll her eyes. âbut youâre not using the whole table, are you?â her brow raised, questioning the other girl. âunless youâre waiting for someone to join but,â she trails off. now it was her turn to give the girl a once over. instead of say something, she let her words hang in the air, hoping the other would come to her own conclusion. maybe she would get even angrier and storm off.Â
usually, at this point in an interaction with someone, eunbyeol would have gotten her own way and the intruder wouldâve quickly left while murmuring apologies for having had interrupted whatever nothingness eunbyeol was busy doing. however, there was something different about the girl who was standing in front of her. mainly that she was still there.
crossing her arms in front of her chest, eunbyeol leaned back in her seat as she continued to stare down the other girl with an unwavering miserable look plastered upon her face. âactually, i am using the entire table. thatâs the whole point as to why itâs still empty even thought thereâs hundreds of people looking to sit.âÂ
eunbyeol waved her hand off in the direction that eunae had approached from. âyou arenât special, sweetie. and you arenât the only one looking for a seat. if there was table space available i most definitely wouldnât be sharing with you. now, run along. find someone else to annoy.âÂ
eunae had to give it up to the festival organizers; the greenplugged festival was a hit. well, the stages she listened to at least. sorry, but the girl wasnât going to stick around and listen to a heavy metal band. the music would make her ears bleed, probably.Â
so while crossfaith took over the stage, eunae took to wandering the grounds. she had already picked up enough trash for one day, her stomach was full and she was sipping on her, if she recalled correctly, her fifth soft drink of the day. terrible for her teeth, but she told herself it was okay because who can refuse free drinks?
the tables scattered around were uncharacteristically full, and the girl let out a sigh realizing that she would probably have to sit with somebody if she wanted to rest. scanning over the crowd, eunae approaches a relatively nice looking girl. âhey,â she starts plastering the nicest smile she can muster on her face. âdo you mind if i sit here for a few minutes?â
at first, she had been enjoying herself. eunbyeol found herself lost in the crowd, heading bopping along with the music as she danced to the beat without a care in the world. but, like most other times, she found that the enjoyment didn't last very long.
mere moment earlier her thoughts were lost in song, only to be interrupted by an act she didn't particularily enjoy. eunbyeol could quickly feel the anger begining to bubble in her chest as her limbs went still, no longer swaying along to the music. why the hell did people like that get to suceed when she was stuck being a nobody. a wannabe on their second shot on finding fame. what kind of fucked up world had it become for them to not recognize the talent that was right in front of them and instead promote talentless losers like the ones on stage.
she quickly found herself storming away from the main stage, having no trouble in procuring a table all to herself. (after all, if any looks could kill it would be the one eunbyeol gave the poor teenagers there before her). she closed her eyes as she plugged into her phone, letting out a relieved sigh. her silence was quickly broken by the girl who interupped her. tugging out an earbud, she slowly looked her up and down. "well, it's kind of my table, that isn't obvious enough for you?"
