I kept believe Under the Oak Tree is about to end in a few more chapters...like book 2 is coming to an end. I am loving the communication between riftan and Maxi. HOWEVER the chapter after the banquet was not it for me. It made me uncomfortable. If you know you know. At least the chapter is being buried by the latest updates.

Also can we talk about how cute the scene was of Riftan dancing with Maxi. He was made the Sejour Aren was her first dance partner lol

Under the Oak Tree is being DISCONTINUED

I'm so sad. Apparently the author is sick of all the illegal translations of her story, so she's decided to end the story at book 2 and...

She's dropping all her side stories!! 😭😭

She had side stories for other characters and another Riftans POV! But that's all gone now and I'm so upset.

I'm gonna be honest though I thought her tone was a little condescending and her actions are not fair to the fans who truly supported her all the way. Once I figured out how to get to Ridibooks, I started paying for it. HOWEVER, do you know how hard it is to read a poorly translated Korean to English story?! It's so confusing sometimes. DON'T even get me started on WebNovel shit is expensive. It's not even close to where Ridi is.

THIS CHAPTER WAS AMAZING. Riftan being amazed by how beautiful Maxi looks at the banquet BUT he's also uber angry and jealous because of the attention she's getting.

The Hebaron banter LOL. Somebody had to tell Riftan the truth. If he doesn't treat her better someone else will.

Sejour Aren teaching Maxi how to dance and being scared of Riftans jealousy. Honestly the next chapter I'm hoping for some conversation and smut lol. It's time these two work it out.

I want hardcovers of book 1 and 2. I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Also, season 2 of the manwha is out. We'll see if it lives up to the book!

But ofc before if anyone gets mad, yes, the illustration is beautiful. I love the hardwork. I just don't like how cookie cutter it is compared to the book. I also think it's bs to say a manwha can't portray darkness and depth. That's a damn lie...Killing and Stalking was breaking boundaries and not to mention there are some incredibly dark and complex Mangas.

I love seeing people freaking out about the final chapters of book 1. I already read them so my current reaction is, "Yup, I was there."

After hearing the OST for Under the Oak Tree...I have a feeling this story will end bittersweet.

In other words...Riftan will die.

Like first of all, this is a love song dedicated to Maxi. Why is Maxi crying in the first place?

"Don't cry, my love. I will burn if it means you'll glow" Um what does that mean?? He'll die if it means she'll be safe?

"Heart melting tale that is soon to be faded away"

"Time cannot be rewinded as long as you're there in the end" So, did he die and is telling her he'll be waiting for her? Is he saying when her time comes they will be together again?

There's also a part where he says how she was the only reason why he kept moving forward in life and that if she were gone there'd be no meaning in life. That makes me think this is foreshadowing Riftan dying for Maxi and why he chooses to do it. There'd be no purpose in his life without Maxi!

Honestly, I hope I'm wrong but these lyrics were really alarming lol. Given how Riftan's POV was written and how he is throughout the novel, he WOULD do something like that if it means to protect her.

I'm so happy Under the Oak Tree is returning with no chapters! I'm hoping that the manwha's season 2 can live up to the book. The book series is just gold to me.

Unpopular opinion:

I think the Manta comic readers of Under the Oak Tree are a little embarrassing. I'm not talking about the people who read both the manwha and the novel, I'm talking about the people who solely read the manwha, think they're edgy for reading the manwha, have no intention in reading the book, and make HORRIBLE predictions and summaries about the story.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of season 1 because I felt it couldn't capture the emotions and darkness of the novel, but some people like it. However, some people are literally calling UTOT a bad boy/good girl love story. I've seen some embarrassing tiktoks explaining the story as a smut novel about a hot knight and shy princess which is farrr from the truth. YALL I literally saw a tiktok calling UTOT a love triangle between Ruth, Riftan, and Maxi. Like someone actually made a prediction that Ruth and Maxi were gonna be a thing. Like yall are embarrassing with these predictions when you have a whole ass book series. Like don't be doing UTOT dirty like that. Put some respect on its name, sheesh!

Sorry for the long rant, but I'm really not liking the "fans" that think they know everything because they read season 1 and when you correct them they get all defensive because it's a prediction...but there's a book...

And if you invite them to read the original story they don't want to, WHICH IS FINE, but then don't act like you know the whole damn book and characters.

Why was Riftan's indifference to losing his title so fuxking badass. His threat to the Duke was sooo good even I was a little scared for the Duke and I hate the guy!

Riftan doesn't give a fuck and I am living for it. And Maxi hitting the Duke with them threats. Girl, AS YOU SHOULDDDD.

Can't wait for the next chapter!!

Honestly, this week's chapter of Under the Oak Tree was not it. I love Riftan and I do understand him, but I'm not gonna justify his actions simply because he has underlying trauma.

Let just say...the sex was SO unnecessary

He literally just threw her feelings out the door and had his way with her. Yea, it was consensual. But MAXI l, my girl, don't let your crown fall! She was doing so well standing her ground. What happened to the girl who could stay mad at Sir Calypse for THREE days until HE came to her to apologize. I want that petty queen back!

OFFICIAL OST for Under the Oak Tree!! Omg I'm so excited. It comes out November 30 like yall, just take me alreadyyy. Maybe UTOT is pretty popular in Korea. MAYBE we get a film adaption. IDK but I'm fucking excited.

It's confusing to know all the characters because the book often interchanges between their first and last name. So here's a picture of all of them and there full names for anyone that needs it :)

I'm thinking about writing an Under the Oak Tree Fanfic about Agnes' brother (the prince) and Rosetta. However, I need to reread the story to be familiar with all the territories and kingdoms. Like whedon is essentially the whole territory, right? Like the remdragon knights follow King Rueben of Wheden they just reside in Anatol which is still part of Whedon?

I saw a post on Tumblr where someone had edited a chapter dialogue between them to say,"because I love you." And that's when it hit me, Riftan and Maxi have never said "I love you" to each other. Do they ever say it?
