Thresher shark - Alopias vulpinus

This shark is not like other sharks, this one has some unique hunting strategies. OH! And a long tail too! (I almost forgot)

That long tail they have it’s not for show, they are also functional. They use them to whip and stun multiple fish at a time.

Despite their unusal tails, they can leap out of the water to great heights.

Notice how their heads are structured. If they hunted by chasing fish, their tails and jaws would be stronger and their jaws would be bigger and more protuding.

It's interesting how the physical features of creatures are specialized to do what they do.

Do they adapt to their bodies or do their bodies adapt to them...?
