Had a disheartening experience taking the metro for the first time in a wheelchair. My love of trains was so tainted by how fucking inaccessible the metro stations and even the metro cars themselves actually are. The autistic heartbreak. Not that it was ever fully accessible to me, but fuck. Plus apparently the metro is run by fucking AI now and the national guard is still occupying DC. Fascism ruining every fucking thing
