@giveyouasplash continued from HERE
“What if I’m not?” Ben slurred, swaying slightly in Harry’s hold as he struggled to turn and face him properly. “Not a gentleman. I could be—could be not a gentleman.”
He waved a hand elaborately, smacking the doorway accidentally and pondering for a second if that should have hurt. Or if it did hurt maybe. Either way, whether it was meant to or it did, Ben couldn’t feel a thing. He thought briefly there might be something poetic about that, something metaphorical or a lesson for later—as all things had lessons attached, but honestly, he didn’t much care. He didn’t much care about anything right now.
That was possibly a lie. He cared about something. He cared about the arm around his shoulders. He cared about the fact Harry’s face was so close to his own, that his lips had been on his cheek and although Ben hadn’t felt when his hand had smacked the doorway…he had most definitely felt the kiss to his cheek. He could feel the arm around his shoulders like a brand, a delicious rebellious brand that Ben didn’t want to remove. At least not yet, at least not when it felt so good. So free not to consider the consequences, not to be a Gentleman at least for a moment.
“Gentleman don’t drink rum—they drink wine I think, I’m not entirely sure. I’m a King who isn’t of an alcohol age but that’s not—not the point. I forgot the point, I should have written it down.” He rambled, bopping Harry on the nose with his finger as he grinned at him sloppily. “A King who has rum is not a gentleman—for now—whilst the rum is still taking effect. I’ve um—forgotten—so you could possibly, perhaps—forget too?”

hccked:
Harry didn’t say anything, he’d come out here to just look, too, after all. This was all too much and he needed a break, if only to get some air. He hadn’t expected anyone to be out here, much less Evie looking longingly (or so it seemed to him, anyway) at the Isle. In the days or weeks (he wasn’t sure) that had passed, he noticed her pulling away from him and throwing herself into everything that was so Auradon. Ever since he’d come here, he’d expected a bit more from her in the friend department, but Evie’s bed was strictly off limits here and Harry couldn’t figure out why. He thought perhaps she didn’t want to associate herself with him, but he longed for the comfort that she brought him. A piece of home. A friend.
“Aye,” he answered quickly to the first question, without hesitation. He’d always felt as though the Isle was home. It was where he was born and raised, where he had friends and family (however good or bad that was depending on the day), and it was where he saw himself living for the rest of his life. He yearned for more, though. For adventure and the sea. But he always knew he’d call the Isle home.
There was a bit more silence and he used that time to really think about being here. He hated it. He was always in trouble for one thing or another and he tried his hardest to not be the Isle boy, but he couldn’t help it. Her next question had him chuckling, head shaking. “No… I don’t wanna be here. I wanna be home, on the Isle. People like us… we don’t belong ‘ere.” He spoke carefully, knowing that Evie’s dreams involved everything that wasn’t the Isle. It was one of the few things they’d shared in those nights they’d ended up in one another’s beds. Whispered words, hushed tones, dreams of things like marrying princes and sailing far away from there on the open seas. But they were just that—dreams. And on the Isle, dreams didn’t come true.
“Do ye miss it? The Isle?” but there was one more question left unspoken: do you miss me?
“I can belong here.” She snapped, eyes flashing dangerously, a ghost of the old Evie from the Isle as she let his words get under her skin. “I can make myself belong here—there’s more to me than the Isle—it’s—I’m more than that place.”
I’m more than you.
I’m more than how you made me feel.
I’m more than the girl who walked away from you.
It’s what she wanted to say but didn’t. It’s what her heart was screaming at her as she tried to centre herself, as she gripped the railing of the balcony until her knuckles were white in an attempt to push it back down. All the fear and uncertainty about her place here, about her place now Harry was here too. About what that meant, about the Evie she was and the Evie she was meant to be and which one of those—if any—Harry wanted. He’d always been hard to read and he was even harder now.
Hard in the way Evie wasn’t used to. Hard in that, her tricks to catch a prince, the innocent doe eyes and the perfect pout weren’t valid with him. The cooking, the cleaning, the perfectly applied lipstick and Queenly poise hadn’t been the Evie that had got him into bed. The game hadn’t been used on Harry, hadn’t been needed. She’d let her guard down when she shouldn’t have, had whispered her dreams and her fears to him in the dead of night back on the Isle—at a time when they’d never had come true. She’d gasped her insecurities into his mouth as he’d soothed them away with expert hands and knowing she’d been so laid bare, when she was trying to hold it together here—had her out of sorts.
“I miss some things.” She conceded eventually, careful to keep her gaze across the water and not on the boy next to her. “—sometimes it was awful, I don’t miss the pressure of being my Mothers only hope and I don’t—I don’t miss being a weapon.”
She paused, biting her lip as she debated continuing, as she debated revealing that what she missed most of all. What she’d missed since arriving here, were nights under the stars where there was no pretending, were nights of whispers and terrifying confessions and the knowledge that they’d fade away as the darkness did. That she’d missed him and that, that terrified her. That needing him, needing anyone was a terrifying concept. She wasn’t sure where the line was, where independent Evie met the Evie who based her entire self worth on being valued by a man.
“…I miss the stars.” She settled on instead, hoping he’d understand. That she’d missed their stars. The ones they’d looked at together. The ones that had represented hope for a future of freedom.

“…nothing really.” She murmured, tearing her eyes away from the view across the water as she glanced at Harry. “Just looking…it’s silly.”
She wasn’t sure why she was sharing with him, wasn’t sure if the Pirate currently having his trial run in Auradon as they had before him, could yet be trusted. She wasn’t sure she was willing to show her vulnerable side, to be this Evie with a boy who was still so engrained in the Isle. Who Evie wasn’t sure was ever going to be able to adapt to Auradon life. Sometimes, even she struggled. Sometimes, like now, she’d catch a glimpse of the Isle across the water and feel homesick for a place she’d never really thought of as home.
“Did you feel like you belonged there?” She asked suddenly, unable to stop the words from tumbling out of her mouth. “The Isle, I mean—do you think—that maybe we don’t belong in either place?”
She wasn’t sure why she was sharing this with him. Wasn’t sure when Harry Hook had become someone she wanted to confide in. Maybe because he was real. Maybe because he made no apologies for who he was and what he enjoyed. Maybe because out of everyone from the Isle, he had been most like her. In a way she didn’t like to admit to or acknowledge. In the way that she knew, deep down inside of her, would never really leave. They both thrived off the validation of others. They both sought pleasure wherever they could find it.

“I think so…yes…” Evie murmured, heart beating rapidly in her chest as her eyes roamed over the face of her best friend.
It was a game. A ploy. Nothing more than everything she’d been taught to do to win a boy. A show for the benefit of Chad Charming. A way for Evie to win her Prince, to marry into Royalty just as she’d been trained to do. It was a desperate tactic, part of her Mothers bag of tricks when all else failed. She couldn’t impress him with her skills in the bedroom after all, not when she’d not yet gotten him there.
Kissing a girl was the only logical next step. Boys liked it. She’d heard that much from her mother. It made them imagine you in that situation, they paid attention, they wanted you. A boy seeing two girls together was a sure fire way to ignite their interests. It would put Evie in a very prosperous position and on the right track for a marriage with a Charming.
Only, this wasn’t just any girl. This was Mal. Beautiful Mal who entered a room and made you feel her presence. Who used all the air and made it so you didn’t even care that she was doing it. Mal who whilst helping her to win over Chad, made sure to look at Evie as though she was something more than that. As though she was more than the games and the tactics. Mal who looked at her the way Evie had wanted to be looked at her entire life.
“Now would probably be the um—the ideal time.” She pressed closer, one hand threading through the purple strands as she marvelled silently at their softness. As she pressed their bodies together and wondered if being intimate with a woman was always this way, if it felt right, if it felt as though they fit. “Are you ready?”

A mystery meme || Accepting
“…I think that might depend on your definition of people person.” Ben shrugged, ignoring the blush staining his cheeks as he’d taken to doing during most of his conversations with this particular individual.
Harry was of course, a people person. Ben had heard the rumours, he’d listened to many a complaint from various teachers and parents over the way Harry was utilising that particular skill in school and whilst it was technically inappropriate—none of the people in question seemed to have any complaints about his particular skills.
Although, he doubted that FGM’s criticism of Harry was a comment on his sexual prowess, a thought which made Ben shudder involuntarily. He shook his head then, trying to rid himself of all these thoughts and concentrate on the matter at hand. Harry and his significant lack of credits in anything to do with social graces. That and the fact, Ben seemed to be the Pirate’s sounding board for all his FGM woes. The young King wasn’t quite sure when that had occurred, nor why he enjoyed the role so much.
“There’s no denying you have a um—certain uh—way with people.” Ben cleared his throat, clicking the end of his pen three times just for something to do with his fingers. “But perhaps what she’s implying is that—your uh—your particular skills aren’t exactly suited for public occasions.”
He sighed, fixing the other with his best attempt at a stern look through the blushes.
“…just ask someone to the cotillion Harry. Wear a nice suit, kiss their hand, offer to get them a drink, dance for a while and just like that—you’ll have your credit.”

“Excuse me? I believe you’re being rather rude Emma.” Chad gasped, holding a hand to his chest just in case she wasn’t aware of how offended he was.
He wasn’t entirely sure of the meaning of the word stereotype, but her tone was certainly conveying it was nothing pleasant. Besides, it didn’t include a compliment to his appearance, and therefore, not at all the way he desired to be spoken to on this morning.
“Have you been unable to glance at the clock dear cousin?” He asked politely, holding his watch up for her to look at, the number 9 having been helpfully replaced at his request, to a picture of his face. “It’s Chad o’clock…which means and you can ask my mother if you do not believe me—that it is the hour of Chad appreciation.”
He shook his head, reaching out a hand to pat her supportively on the shoulder, in the princely manner all supportive pats should be given.
“I’m sure I could ask my mother to have your watch changed, lest you forget about Chad time again.”

“The King?” Ben intoned, stepping out from where he’d been hovering in the shadows as he watched Harry with barely concealed amusement. “Although, I don’t know whether I’d call him an idiot, I heard he was actually rather smart…handsome too, come to think of it.”
He grinned then, unashamedly proud of himself for catching Harry in the act. His villain lessons with Evie had certainly paid off, and whilst it wasn’t the correct way for a King to conduct himself—getting one over on the Pirate who seemed to constantly worm his way under Ben’s skin had certainly been worth it.
“Shall I let you into my study then?” He asked with a smirk, a mischievous gleam in his eyes as he stepped forward to murmur the password. “Or does it only count if you sneak in yourself? Shall I leave you and my door alone for a while?”

He’d been relaxing. As much as he could in this fucking place he didn’t belong anyway. He’d finally found a place the sun hit just right, a place where if he closed his eyes for long enough, he could pretend that the only thing he had to worry about was the prospect of shade. Not his growing feelings for Kiara, not the mammoth task ahead of him, and not the strange tension between his brother and the King and Queen. He was at peace, or at least he had been—until a familiar shadow fell over him, blocking the sun’s rays in the most annoying way possible.
“You know…where I’m from, if we’re going to insult someone…we do it properly.” Kovu shrugged, not bothering to move from where he was lying on the floor in the grounds of the palace—or whatever the fuck they called this pointlessly giant building.
He opened one eye, staring lazily up at the new bane of his existence as he contemplated the benefits of just killing her. It was entertaining at least, to consider it. Although, knowing her, she’d still find a way to talk his ear off about all the ways he was wrong and she didn’t trust him. She was right not to. But that wasn’t the point.
“I could call you an annoying yapping puppy…” He intoned, finally opening both eyes as he smirked up at her. “Or I could make it much more satisfying, and tell you, you’re a self-righteous bitch with a big fucking mouth.”

Wow! Ok honestly first of all where did you all come from? Secondly, I am so honored that you are here following this mad princess even if I do think your slightly lost. Finally Thirdly I adore writing as Victoria and am having so much fun with an original character (since she’s my first). Anywho, as I always do with these, the rest will be found under a read more because they can get a bit extensive and I don’t want to clog anyones dash up. Also, as I’m sure I’ll do it, I know I will miss people who should be on this. Thank you so much for following and getting lost here! You guys are amazing and I adore all of you!
