论斷

“不可判断人，免得你们被判断。 

马太福音 7:1‭

刚才发了一段关于社交媒体责任的话。我们似乎对教会以外的生活更加热衷，也常常忽略了自己的信仰或教会的事物。这是我的观点，然后我也和Matthew争论了很久，我想信很多人也会不同的意见，赞还是不赞？

这就产生了几种的人，A认为应该要这样，B觉得需要那样, C说他的最好。

常常在争论过后我们就会很不满意彼此，这种感觉的抒发应该就是在背后论斷了。他这个人啊这样那样；他就是这样的咯！；你知道吗他这种人啊...

论斷人常常是为了要表达自己比较好，那个人达不到我的好所以我批评他。最常见的就是：他哪里可以这样做，是我的话就会这样做...

我不知道这算是论斷还是表达，或许重点在内心吧。有的人真的是纯粹说说，有的人却是故意要证明自己。就像法利赛人说自己多么好，税吏多么糟糕。法利赛人说的固然是对的，他的确守了很多戒命，可是他的内心其实在高举自己的义。

被论斷的感觉好吗？

我觉得很难受。

所以耶稣这里也很直接的告诉我们，

你不要别人说你，你就不要去讲别人。

如果你们有什么意见，建议，请直接告诉我，我们固然有不同意的意见，可是只有诚实的沟通我们才能相互理解。

Young

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Everybody is using this verse.

HEY, YOU young man don't think that you're still young, you can do it!

You can accomplish more things.

Opps that's not from the Bible,

it's from Jack Ma.

Basically the whole world is trying to persuade us that young man can achieve something greater. That's why, do not say that you're young. The kid of our neighbour has already earned RM1million and you're still working like a Dog (Happy CNY).

“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”

1 Timothy 4:8 NLT

Paul is saying: young man, train for Godliness. I guess the children that time would have no say over their life, so they might think that: oh I can't do it,

oh that's not my concern.

How about now?

When we're saying about training for Godliness, we will say:

1. after SPM I sure have time.

2. Now college got assignments

wait I finish assignment xia

3. Now got midterm lah

4. Final is around the corner, need do COCO lagi

5. Project haven't done, wait ah

6. Oh I'm having my internship

7. I've just started my new job, I need to concentrate first

8. Walau I finish work already 8pm I need to rest la

9. I'm getting married, many things to settle, wait I settle down first

10. Now I need to work hard for my house loan and car loan

11. My child is coming soon, need to take care of my wife

12. Not enough time rest la children are not easy to take care you know

13...14...15...16...17...18...19...

We say we love Jesus. We said we are Christian. We pray to God, we said we will trust in Him. We said God is our saviour. We said is our all in all.

"Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."

There's no time for "等我長大下“

We're still young, do not let anyone think less of us. Because our God is greater than anything else.

Trian for Godiness.

Do it now.

Ourselves

“So a church leader must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach. He must not be a heavy drinker or be violent. He must be gentle, not quarrelsome, and not love money. He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him. For if a man cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church?”

This is a long one.

So Paul said that to be a church leader, you must be faithful to wife, self-control, live wisely, good reputation ...... manage family. That’s a lot of criteria. Read them one by one and try it on your church leader. I’m joking, compare it to ourselves. I do understand the reason behind these rulings, because the Church is the body of Christ and we must take good care of it.

Sometimes we have this issue: someone is a very very good worshipper in church but he or she may have attitude problem, bad fame, bad relationship issues kind of things. They might have thousand of reasons behind the scene, and I totally understand that no one is perfect and one could still be very capable to serve in church despite their issues. But I think what Paul was trying to say is : if someone could not manage his or herself, how can they take care of God’s church?

I serve a lot in church, but I have a terrible life style. I’m super lazy, procrastine, selfish, proud bla bla bla. There are so many bad things to say about me, you might know more than I do though. So when I read the text, it impacts me greatly. I often focus too much on the technical parts like how to play the instrument, how to get the people in, how to this how to that, but I barely take care of my own life.

No self-control, not gentle....everything,

It's like Paul knew of me few thousand years ago. God is now telling me: If you can’t handle yourself, your financial, your desire, you are not worthy to handle the house of His.

People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. (1Samuel 16:7)

We cant hide anything from Him, can we?

Real weird

Something real weird happened during dinner.

Having dinner with two 50+ yo elders after an intensive brainstorming session for 4 hours. It was held in one of the officer’s house, so his daughter joined us for the dinner as well. She’s 16, quite a pretty girl, but I felt something unusual about her. Nvm, I continue with my dinner. So three of us continue to have our conversation, and she was quietly sitting there and eat her dinner. I scroll FB and instagram on and off while having discussion, and I saw something. That girl has no phone with her, wow, that’s something special. How many of us could have dinner without phone around? Rare.

Then I realised, she has done with her dinner, but... she did not left the table.

She sat there, listen to us, give her input whenever necessary, never interrupt our discussion. Trust me, I see no teenager wants to sit with a table with two old men and one less old man. If it’s not related to me and it’s my house, I’ll finish up my dinner and cao as soon as possible. I did that, and most of the people around me did that, but not her. And then her father was drinking the sound from the plate. Normal thing right?

NO, she asked her dad: Do you need a bowl?

Oh my goodness, I wont even have noticed if I am drinking soup from bowl or plate, but she cares about someone else. The whole dinner takes like 1 hour 30 mins and she’s never bothered with her WhatsApp or wechat but paying 100% attention on the dinner table.

Honestly, I am impressed.

I asked myself can I do that? NO. Knowing me myself, I will read the newspaper every time I have my meal. I must read something, or not, FB. And I will never paying full attention to someone else, I must have something to get distracted, maybe reading the food menu?

Is it me, or she is really weird and rare?

I am impressed. How often could I spend time with someone else with full attention? How possibly for me to spend time with God without distraction? I am really asking myself.
