So this is the first week of 'destiny disucssion,' where I'll be talking about the constantly evolving world of destiny. Reblog with thoughts and comments, etc. I actually recently posted a picture of destiny, saying that it had peaked...but surprisingly enough, Bungie have pulled a bit of a Houdini with House of Wolves. Now we're going to be a multitude of 34 guardians that all look unique, with the guns and perks that we want. The game that we were promised is finally coming. First, the reforging, which was a complete surprise. For those not in the know, you will be able to reforge any weapon obtained after House of Wolves lands at the gunsmith. Reforging is also the process seen in iron banner, where you can expend a few of your resources to change the weapon's perks. This is, well, awesome. For a mote of light and some weapon parts, we'll be able to throw pretty much any perk on any gun, from those that we know about. And more perks in the way. There's a perk seen on the Red Hand IX, for better target acquisition, that i'm very interested in trying. The only downside is that any weapon you already have or purchase before Wolves won't be reforgeable. Ascension is another awesome step towards making a great game. Using a new resource, called 'Etheric Light', you can now ascend any legendary gear to the maximum light level or attack value. Exotics will need exotic shards. You can do this once you max out the progression on your gun. Etheric light is found in all endgame content, so nightfalls, prison of elders, trials of osiris are all places where you can find them. Etheric light, then, is the resource you'll need a lot of. Make sure when Wolves lands that you ascend your gear first, as the light level is more important. This means we can be light 34 and not all look the same! If there's a chestpiece you think looks good on your warlock, that you haven't bought yet, get it now before they change the vendor inventories. Style trumps all, and don't forget it. Tomorrow is the Trials of Osiris twitch stream reveal. As someone who loves crucible, especially skirmish, this mode is something i've been asking for since the beginning of destiny itself. Now it's right around the corner, and I can't wait to suit up and look like an Egyptian God while playing. So, what exotic is everyone excited to add to the collection? Personally, I think all of the warlock exotics look beautiful, but the Ram just edges it for me. Every Tuesday. Except for tomorrow, when i'll write again.
