I started cycling when I was twenty. Sometimes I can’t believe I broke all the Women’s Road Records Association during 1940s and 1950s. It was a great thrill to win. When I got to the end of the 1000 mile record for cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats it was terrific. I arrived and asked for a double cherry brandy. 🍒 🥃 🍒 I retired from cycling when I had my daughter. I started going to art clases when the children were young and that’s how I got into glass engraving. I had a steady hand and people began asking me to engrave portraits on glass. I engraved a trophy for the Duke of Edinburgh for a city and Guild award. My dad used to play music at parties and his love of music passed on to me. I started DJ-ing at University and there is nothing like seeing your friends and people dance and move to the music you are playing. ‘Every Thing We Touch x Dubai’ . Paula Zuccotti will be performing a live installation to photograph the citizens of the UAE: capturing multiculturalism while she continues with her wider task of documenting everyday lives and the creation of a time capsule of our current physical footprint. As a form of Future Archeology, she travels around the world photographing Every Thing We Touch over a day. Location: Dubai Design Week from 13 to18 November between 10:00 and 22:00 at the pop-up retail unit, building 6 D3. .
