@everything-cute-and-adorable
im so mad (im not that mad)
I was setting up a story line in my book and I watched an anime with an extremely similar plotline. Its not exactly the same, but same concept. At least I know what I am writing its good enough to base a story around, tho its all good cause it was only a sub plot, albeit a non-minor one. Plus my plot line explores the concept a little further and in a different way with higher stakes. (me being a vague as possible cause its still not a finalized part of the story just one of several ideas I was working with.
Plus I may wanna actually release it in its entirety at some point and I can't be spoiling it lol.
im not going to lie, even tho the 'story' I am writing probably is absolute dog, I am actually really enjoying it and its the most ive ever commited to actually finishing something creative in my life (which as an autistic perfectionist is definitely saying something.
Who knows, maybe I'll show someone it when I'm done and if I still am proud of it. (Its been on-going for a few years where I'd think about it for weeks and how I want it to go, then I'd write the next like 5 lines before going back to thinking about the story/characters)
God I feel shit.
Like, I have no one to talk to but Idek if I want to talk. I'm just tired man. Everyone already has shit going on and I fell like I'll make it worse no matter what I choose.
This seems to be a hot take considering what's happening but...
It should be up to the parents to regulate what a child can and can't do on the internet and instead of creating ways to endanger everyone's privacy to combat the 'chronically online' generation (even though we should just accept that the internet is a part of our lives now wether we like it or not), and instead we should be focusing on educating parents on how to limit content for their child, and give them tools to do so rather than forcing them tools onto fully grown adults and expect them to like it. Stop treating everyone on the internet as a child. In a couple of generations its not even going to be an issue because people who have had the 'modern' internet will have grown up and had kids and will teach their kids based on their own up bringing. Stop this stupid juvenoia. Our generation was probably the 'worst' when it came to internet exposure cause it was a new concept and nothing was sterile like it has become. But we also had parents looking over our shoulders the entire time.
Why has parenting become such a foreign concept? Stop forcing AI age detection down the rest of our throats, the majority of people should have to pay in privacy because parents can't control their kids.
If you're going to have a cup of gravy, at least season it.
its honestly the greatest thing in the god damn world and you should try it
The government: Finally, the children are safe from the vile porn corrupting their minds Videos of people literally dying: The government: Yup, the children are safe Videos of extreme racism: The government: we definitely did a good thing
you wanna know how autistic I am?
Well, I have nightmares about my routine being broken because I can't find clothes that aren't going to annoy me all day.
Bro why are pickled onions the greatest thing to ever exist?
Just wrote my favorite scene for my 'book'
I really don't know if its going to be long (or good) enough to really be an actual book. Its kinda just something I've been doing as a hobby late at night when I have nothing else to do. Not sure if I have the persistance to ever actually complete it, but its the furthest ive ever got with writing and im pretty invested in the story and characters now so who knows. I tend to just kinda write a scene then end up going away and just thinking about the implications of that scene and where it could lead.
Being dyslexic, I've never actually read anything past what was required for school. I don't ever expect this to even be read by anyone and would definitely need a LOT of passes to make it legible/followable/make gramatical sense.
I've got no where else to vent, so I guess here is as good as any. (just like old times)
So, In the last few months I've kinda come to realisation that I am probably 99% sure, that I am autistic. It just explains so much of my life. as a kid I was put in the 'special class' (crazy that it was actually called that back then). I was just always in my own world, not interested in having friendships or anything like that. I'd annoy the teachers cause I never appeared to pay attention, like not looking at them whilst they talked to me directly. And doodling stuff whilst in class and stuff like rocking on my chair, stuff like that. (there's a massive list of things but a lot of them were 'disruptive') I wouldget told off a lot for reasons I didn't really understand. I would get overwhelmed and often go off to sleep in a corner somewhere (which apparently isn't socially acceptable to just sleep when you're tired, took me a while to learn that.) Then eventually decided to put me in the special class with the other 'special needs' kids. But I never felt like I had anything 'wrong' with me. They never explained why I was there, and never really properly tested me for anything, it was just universally accepted I needed more help than the other kids. In secondary school I was supposed to be in a group that provides extra support but they just never told me untill exam time. By that point I felt like I could kinda just deal with it the same way I always have, the fact that I was allowed/forced to do my exams in a room with like only 2 other people rather than the main hall with all of the other kids was nice tho. (and the extra 15 mins on exams not that I needed it but there was a *little* less pressure). I've been a 'shut-in' for like 10 years. I've been outside on average about 4 times a year since then (not even exaggerating.) I don't even step a single foot out the door. I think the main reason is that ive kinda forgotten how to mask. (masking being the act of pretending or acting in a certain way to 'fit' in) I used to be really good at it, to the point that asking even my close friends they seems split on if I am autistic or not. (tho I suspect one of them is neurodivergent himself) and the other's response was 'you have more than a healthy dose' Which to me took me a while to even unpack to figure out what that meant. Cause like a 'healthy' dose would be none at all lol.
Needless to say I am at some point going to try see if my gp will refer me to get an assessment, and ive compiled like 40 pages of things that make me think I have it, which I hear in its self is a sign I may have it. (plus the info dump thing is apparently quite common too) *looks at this post*
Got new autism friendly t-shrits.
They're not designed for autism but they may as well be. They're slightly oversized, black all over without any logos, and the lables are easily ripped out. Plus they actually feel soft texture wise, other than round the neck, but I can NEVER find shirts that don't feel like sand paper round the seams.
