enough reclaiming slurs, I think in 2023 we should reclaim nascar. they banned the confederate flag on all properties & their stance on lgbtq+ isnât just performative bc in 2013 they fined a driver 10k for using a homophobic slur, condemned indiana in a statement for an anti lgbt law, and partnered w carolinaâs lgbt+ chamber of conference in 2022. nascar was founded by anti-cop moonshiners/bootleggers who drove suped-up fords to out-run the police. #yaaascar
When my children ask what the world was like before coronavirus I'm showing them this
leftist antisemites are really everywhere on this hellsite making & reblogging their posts like âthe Jews have too much power and privilege and actually their very recent genocide was not that bad compared to what my group experiences and antisemitism doesnât even exist in my country and especially not in liberal spacesâ
Goyim should reblog posts like this one instead of always only acknowledging antisemitism when it is about jk rowlingâs goblins or easy shit like that.
Challenge the antisemitism that is coming from inside the house. Be a little brave. Because you will lose followers for reblogging a post like this, because there are antisemites following you that think this way, and assume you do too.

Ubers charge more if you order them from certain places, like bars where they know you have no choice if youâre drunk. Walk somewhere else just not anywhere that serves alcohol and then call for one. Iâve had my $40 dollar Uber go down to $20 before but itâs not always that dramatic.
Thatâs great information! Lumbridge home teleport costs 0gp every 30 minutes.

<older man and older woman chatting amiably at a table, their conversation is just on the edge of intelligible>
Denise: Oh, hello!
Bill: We were just talking about you kids.
D: Iâm Denise Heberle (HEB-er-lee)âŠ
B: And Iâm Bill Goodman.
D: Together weâve been fighting fascism for over 50 years.
B: And so much has changed over those 50 years, such as the ingredients to a successful firebomb!
D (cheerily): And the glass that bank windows are made of!
B: But thereâs one thing that hasnât changed over 50 years, something that is so important to tell you kids who are new to this movement.
Both: Shut the fuck up.
D: Youâre sitting in the police transport van after a protest?
B: Shut the fuck up. In a holding cell, with your comrades?
D: Shut the fuck up. Cop knocks on your door?
B: Shut the fuck up.
D: Texting on an unsecured device?
B: Shut the fuck up. Pulled over by the cops after a protest?
D: Shut the fuck up. Cop just asking about your day?
B: Shut the fuck up. Feds call your mom?
D: Tell your mother to shut the fuck up.
B: Now. Repeat after me. When the cops come calling, what do you do?
(Cut to Bill standing with eight kids)
Kids: Shut the fuck up!

One thing Iâve realized during the pandemic is that NTs are actually pretty rigid. Despite the fact that a certain rigidity of thinking and need for routine are often mentioned as hallmarks of neurodivergence (most often for people on the spectrum, but it does come up occasionally for other things like ADHD, anxiety, etc), the antimask crowd is overwhelmingly NT.
Among ND people I know, the response to masks has varied. Some really like them, because they donât need to spend a ton of energy thinking about their facial expressions. Some have basically gone âI donât like them, but whatever. It is what it is.â And a small few have had sensory issues they canât figure out a work around for, so they just do curbside pickup and avoid situations where a mask is needed as much as possible.
And when you think about it, itâs not very surprising. ND people, whatever our individual issues, are pretty used to having to move through a world not designed for us. Why would a pandemic be any different?
Meanwhile, we got to witness NTs having meltdowns because they couldnât get a haircut. The pandemic had interrupted their routine, and they couldnât handle it. For the first time, they were living in a world that wasnât designed around their desires.
So apparently rigidity and a need for routine arenât a ND thing, so much as what happens when human beings live in a society that isnât designed around their preferences.
yep, 95% of nt life is ritual, itâs just so normalised itâs invisible to them but we damn well notice

Remoras Full Intermission III: Limitless Potential
Life at the hospital would be boring except that it was a sort of routine where I was in a constant daze and I would forget that I was ever bored at all. Few interesting or exciting things happened, just slow moving developments. Physical therapists helping me heal my leg. That sort of thing. Lying in a hospital bed. Getting some bland meal that was neither great nor gross enough to complain about.
There wasnât really anyone my age to talk to, either. It was kind of lonely most of the time. Cafeteria would be near empty. Just a few people, if anybody at all, at any given time. Several spaces away, each with their own business.
That wasnât quite true: There were waiting rooms. There were families. There was a ward in the hospital with people around my age, a ward I had no place being in, but sometimes I would see people from that ward. Iâd hear their conversations.
âDr. Marill can suck my jorts!â One teenage boy with dark sunglasses and a leather jacket declared while pointing finger guns at no one in particular.

The characters Therese, Johnny, Isabella, Rayner, Fleur, and Eirian are based on characters of the same names by @clefablepandemic from a currently unreleased book!
So I work at a library and about a month ago I helped a little old woman who is legally blind figure out how to listen to our audiobooks on her tablet. We got to chatting and I mentioned that I always listen to audiobooks while I knit, which made her very excited and she told me all about the afghans she used to make when she could still see. She was so sweet and I was so glad to be able to help her figure out a way to still enjoy books without being able to read.
Yesterday I answered the phone at work and when I said my name the woman on the other line got so excited and said âMadeline?? Youâre exactly who I wanted to talk to! This is Marie, you helped me about a month ago. How late are you working today?â It was her!! And about an hour later she and her husband showed up, and she was carrying a huge stack of old knitting patterns for me, and her husband brought in a few boxes full of yarn. They couldnât stay long but I was so touched that she remembered me, and I struggled to not just flat out start crying when she handed me the patterns. When I looked through them later I realized it was her entire personal collection from over the years, including all her personal notes and drawings and even some photographs of her finished pieces. No one in my family knits, and to have someone pass on their legacy to me like that was incredibly moving.
This isnât what I usually post here, but with life being especially dark lately I wanted to share a moment of happiness and a reminder that a bit of kindness goes a long way âĄ
Remoras Full Chapter XL: Please Donât Take My Sunshine Away
I
Thereâs that old saying: âthings get worse before they get better.â
Perhaps thatâs true. It is in most cases. But then there was also that one about calms before storms. Sometimes it could be hard to tell which phrase applied when.
Is it over? At last? I thought when the sky cleared and the frozen mashed potato landscape I came to know as snow lit up and an orange warm glow lit up in the distance.
I remember how I took what must have been the largest sigh of relief. For the rest of the day, even for a few days, it really felt like it was all over.
Scared refugees, people who once may have known a sense of normalcy, all huddled in fear. They too changed their tune once the beauty such a cold and barren place could bring. Less scared, more excited. Some were hesitant, yes, but a good few got up, headed for the door.
âWait!â I snapped.
Two, no, three of them, looked my way. Both in confusion and horror at the sharpness of my tone. I too was a little startled even though I had grown used to it at that point.
âWe donât know how long it will last, or if itâs truly over,â I explained to them.

BROKEN NOTES FOR FORBIDDEN INTERNET KNOWLEDGE
Forbidden knowledge
for the record: when opening files from the internet, ESPECIALLY if you donât know where they came from, check what kind of file your computer says it is. if itâs an executable and you arenât EXPECTING an executable, DO NOT OPEN IT. also, if you open it and it asks to run as an administrator: no. do not.
In fifth grade a boy tried to impress me by swallowing a whole tadpole live and I punched him so hard that he puked and the tadpole was fine.
I kept it in a terrarium and it became a normal đž despite everything. About a year afterward (I thought) it died, so I sadly put it in a shoebox in the shed until the ground thawed enough for a proper funeral but when that day came I opened the box and the frog was fine.
This is funnier than anything I have ever said.
