This is the story of a girl. A delusional girl, that foolishly fell madly in love with a boy. This boy didnât seem like an ordinary boy. He caught her attention is a way that no other boy did. She felt like she had literally found herself because she felt endlessly comfortable around this boy. Being the cynic that she was, however, she would not let herself believe he was her soul mate. Soon after they lost contact and she tried to move on with her life. It was not tough to move on since she had known the boy for only a short amount of time, but she also knew something was not right in her life. This bothered her a great deal and each day was met with struggles to find happiness. Some days were bigger struggles and some days went by with a breeze. The days were spent working and with another guy, that always felt like a best friend and nothing more. Nobody managed to light that spark.Â
After months went by that special boy came along again. Feeling that level of comfort and falling back in to an immediate ease along side him. Life was exciting again and being around him made her feel completely different yet totally right. She laughed with him. She found herself telling him things like she had known him for years. After a few weeks of this she knew he was right. She told him this and was disappointed by his response. He HAD to of felt the same way towards her, because this feeling was overpowering her. Yet once again, he drifted off and became a stranger. This time was met with more struggles to forget him. He left an indent on her that she could not smooth out. A terribly uneasy feeling came over her, wondering how he could forget her so easily. Her days continued, as they do, and she began to move on with life wondering what had gone wrong.
A year later he popped back up again. How could it be, she thought. It was halloween and he asked her to join him at a party. She thought about it, and felt it odd that she didnât turn him down and hide away in her shell like she normally would. She went to the party alone, stepping out of her boundaries yet right back to where she felt most comfortable. Being in his presence again was empowering. A feeling she was still unable to explain after years have gone by. After that night she knew he had that feeling too, that feeling of an intensely unknown power pulling them together. So they were together. However, this was not a happily ever after.
She had a knowing deep down in her heart that she had found her man. The one. She told him often, for she didnât want a single day to go by that he didnât feel loved. For the first time in her life she saw a future she was excited for. When she looked at this man, a deep gut feeling, of more than just butterflies, would ensue her. She felt an immense, unmeasurable love for him. This was a feeling that raptured her, making her question her life before him. He made her feel whole. But they started to fight, and the fights grew wickeder and meaner. The things they would fight about she couldnât understand. It was as if he had grown in to a different man, with different priorities and suddenly she was no longer his savior. It terrified her to the core to see this new man evolving in to someone that didnât need her, or feel that depth of love, because she certainly still felt it for him. The days grew more miserable and she fought for his affection. But all was lost. There was nothing she could do.Â
She often foolishly questions what would have happened if she would have seen him that night before he left. Where would life be? Because he left and came back with a new savior, someone that he needed and could find happiness with. Alone and broken was all she could feel after seeing this, once again questioning what she did wrong. This time, he left more than an indent, he left a shattered shell of a girl. Because this girl had loved him unconditionally and was to be left watching him in his new life, happier without her. This is the story of a sad, broken girl.Â
