“Directions? It depends on where you’re going."

【Mei felt slightly bad for speaking to the other female in such a way when all she wanted was to ask a simple question. Of course, she didn’t show a single sign of regret on her facial expression. She merely flicked her head to the side to remove her bangs from her eyes before she glanced down at the ninetales who stood beside the other. Giving a small grin, she knelt down and removed her large bag from her back. Rummaging through it before taking out a can of pokemon food she had made the other day. Pouring some on a napkin before offering it to the fox pokemon.】

“You have a beautiful ninetales.”

【She complimented. Mei was always much kinder to pokemon than to people. Zipping up her bag and tossing it over her shoulder, she stood up once again. Extending her free hand to the other female.】

“I’m..not really used to being around people. Even is it’s just one person. So— I’m sorry for being rude a moment ago.”

Needless to say, Evie felt a little flustered around this girl. She wasn't so used to communicating with the slighter er... Abrasive sorts? Was that a good word? Never the less, she managed a small smile when she watched the girl fish around her bag for some food and offered it to her pokemon. Aphrodite sniffed around the napkin before gently taking the food from her palm. 

"Oh, thank you! Her name is Aphrodite." Evie explained. From that action alone Evie knew she wasn't all that bad, just one of those folks that just handled pokemon better. She could empathise on that one, pokemon were much easier to deal with. 

She took her hand for a shake and shrugged, "It's fine, really. I don't think you meant it so it's all good." Evie glanced over her shoulder, "Uhm, anyway, think I can still grab those directions from you please?"

Dressing Up

As a sort of ‘Round 0’, all coordinators are required to dress up according to the theme. 

The theme, of course, is Winter Wonderland. 

For Contestants

Please do one of the following; Draw your character in their costume Use a doll maker  Write a description

Don’t panic about your drawing or writing style, so long as it’s made clear what the costume looks like. 

For Judges

Mark all costumes out of 10. Cast your votes in one post in the private board (which will be made soon)

Consider the following; Have they dressed appropriate to the theme? Does the outfit compliment their pokemon? Is the outfit stylish and fashionable?

On here, Olympia and Brooke. Organising Winter Wonderland alongside IRL stuff takes up a lot of time, especially now it's the holiday season. I'm up for quick little rps but nothing too long, should be back to normal soon enough!!

Ainsely help! I've picked my pokemon for the Winter Wonderland contest but I'm not sure I made the right decision! Ahh I'm freaking out...

The ace trainer blinked seeing her so nervous and distressed about the competition. He sat down across from her as he took her hand and rubbed them gently to ease the tension.

"Hey come on now, Evie. You are going to perfom just fine!" He gave her a reassuring smile.

She bit her lip, staring at her hands as he gave them a rub, that seemed to calm her down a little bit, "I just. Persephone and Daphne haven't contested in a long time, I'm just worried we aren't going to be ready for it."

Evie groaned, drooping her head down, "It's not even a ~proper~ contest! It's a fun thing! I don't know why I'm freaking out so much."

The first is a solo performance with your two pokemon, write or draw your routine. If you’re drawing, please draw one scene. Writers are expected to describe the entire performance. You will be judged by a panel of volunteers.

The second round is the battling portion, you have a choice whether you want to draw your entry or if you want to role play it out. The battle round is down to you to work out whether you’ll write or draw and also who wins, you can play out the battle via game or online equivalent, flip a coin, etc. Whichever suits you both best. Battles will run in a standard competition format until we reach the finals. 

Let me know if your partner doesn’t respond and we’ll arrange something else for you.

【The dark female stared upon the new comers who had made their presence known. Arching an eyebrow as she thought to herself as to why they would do such a thing. Being someone who only knew how to please a crowd during a pokemon contest, Mei had no social skills what-so-ever. Which is also the reason she had no friends—- aside from her team, of course. Taking this chance to attempt to socialize, she faced the individuals with much confidence. Folding her arms across her chest before speaking.】

Evie pressed her lips together, a little confused and a little hurt to be spoken to in such a way off the bat. Did she look like some weird kid or something? She glanced to the Ninetales beside her, who blinked slowly, indifferent to the situation. Okay, no help from her then.

She cleared her throat, "Uhm. Hi. I was actually hoping for some directions but it's okay, I can ask someone else."

"Wow, no wonder you’re such a natural then, being raised with pokemon for your whole life." Must have been so cool, meeting all those pokemon and taking care of them, "I’m sure you’ll be amazing Jason, at the very least you’ll be the best at taking care of your pokemon!"
