CJ was sitting in the back of ‘goodness’ class being bored to tears. She put her notebook into her bag, and snuck out of the class room and just went back to her dorm room. Before she was able to reach her room she passed Mal smiling a little. “Hey future queen” She said with a lot of humor in her voice.

Mal has been residing in Auradon for over a year and she still hasn’t gotten used to people staring at her. Shortcuts were always her way to go, the lesser the people on her way, the better. Especially now with all the new VK’s in Auradon, the press had been relentlessly pursuing her for a feature or an interview. She would be lying if she didn’t expect at least a couple of villains running around the prep and not attending class; so when she saw CJ Hook wandering about in the middle of the school day? Mal couldn’t help but chuckle. “Cutting class, huh?” She said an eyebrow raised.

Usually, Mal didn’t have to think about this. It was automatic, Evie and her would always go together. No buts, no ifs ―none of that. 

But breaking in the Chemistry lab in the middle of the night to get a few things for her own mischief... Mal wasn’t sure if she wanted Evie to be involved. Especially with Evie’s marks and all.
