EvilMrSod's "Still Alive And Well" or Things to do when you're home alone on a Saturday
Some time ago I had a conversation with a friend about all these bands that spend years in the studio and I was saying you shouldn’t need to spend more than a couple of weeks (a month tops) to make a rock’n’roll record. My friend kinda agreed with me but he was also saying he could understand those bands (even if they went a bit too far) and that the longer you stay in the studio the more perfect the record will be. There is where we didn’t agree anymore. I said that the longer you stay in the studio, the more options you have to kill the “spirit” of the record, get tired of the songs and (in the end) f**k the whole thing. One thing led to another, I remember saying that the ideal time to make a record is one day, he said that’s impossible, I said it’s totally possible and then he said the worst thing you could say to me: “no balls”. So I did it. I wrote 10 songs, I recorded them and I mixed them in one day. Only to prove it's possible. I know, it’s silly. Exactly like the kind of rock’n’roll I like most: simple, fast and as far from intellectuality as possible. More The Stooges and less Radiohead.
It’s a new record from EvilMrSod but it’s not “The new record” of EvilMrSod. That one is still on the works (together with one or two more). So, turn the volume up and enjoy it. And remember... This was an experiment. All tracks are first takes. None of the above is important. Don’t panic. 42. Have fun, be bad and love Rock’N’Roll.
Long Live LO-FI! https://evilmrsod.bandcamp.com/album/still-alive-and-well

"Going Down (We're All)" is EvilMrSod's new single and video. The b-side is "Waiting" and the very special guest in both tracks is none other than my admired Diego Hdez, who plays pedal steel in "Going Down (We're All)" and banjo on "Waiting". You can download both tracks (name-your-price-kinda-thing) at http://evilmrsod.bandcamp.com/
New single and video of EvilMrSod. "Atom Bomb" has been part of the setlist almost every night since its debut last May and now it's time for it to come to your screens. The video was recorded in Mainz (Germany) in June 2013 by MaeglinsBlog (http://www.facebook.com/MaeglinsBlog), who also did the edition. EVILMRSOD & THE PALE RYDERS SAY GOODBYE
And now the news: A’ight… after playing together for three years we’ve finally decided to call it a day. EvilMrSod & The Pale Ryders don’t exist anymore as a band. It’s been three amazing years with many good moments but it’s time to move on. All upcoming shows have been cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks to everybody who’s been there supporting us. See you around. E&PR
