Raven snatched the wrist of the young man that had been causing problems for some of the young women, glaring at him in her full yellow-eyed glory, “let me be clear– if I catch you so much as looking at someone here wrong again, I will make sure your fingers remain broken for the next fifty years,” with a smile on her face, she squeezed the wrist hard for a moment before releasing it. she sighs with a large eye roll, shifting back into a striking Audrey Hepburn, “some people just ruin the fun for everyone.”
“I was going to say the same thing,” Zoe mutters, looking towards the man who was now scurrying away from the shapeshifter. She’d been about to threaten him herself when she’d seen him intimidating some girls, but the elder woman had gotten there first.

“i have… a lot of questions.” tiny crease appearing between sienna’s eyebrows, she seemed as if she was taking this whole thing INCREDIBLY seriously - far too seriously, in fact, when subject matter was considered. however, leaving the words stew just a moment, the facade she had thrown up broke and a smile immediately pulled her lips up, a chuckle barely hidden behind her words - “most IMPORTANTLY, i think…- at the end of it all, were you convinced? 40 minutes is a long time to stick by something like that - they must’ve felt they had at least SOME ground to stand on.”
“Honestly, by the end I was willing to believe that the twerp managed it. Despite not being born. As for sticking by it? This one kid would not shut up about it. I swear, I was ready to believe anything to make it stop.” Besides, Zoe had a curiosity for conspiracy theories. The more outlandish the better.

“oh, honey-” the very moment that zoe pushed through their shared door, sia dropped the bottles that she had been prepping for sterilization to the counter and rushed to her - words leaving her mouth thoughtlessly. the telltale sign of an incoming bruise across the others cheek was more important, by far, than any retroactive mom duties she had to perform ; and the worry for zoe was CLEAR in the way that, though her hand hoovered close like it might cup her face, she didn’t dare touch the cheek she imagined would be quite sore. “just because you WANT to, doesn’t mean you should. why didn’t you call me? - i would have come to get you.”
Zoe tenses slightly as Sia’s hand hovers over her cheek. It wasn’t Sia, but rather the familiar ache she could feel across that side of her face, knowing that there’ll be bruising and knowing that Sia touching it would only hurt it more right now. She’d had far worse injuries from fights before, both organised and impromtu, but seeing Sia’s worry made her feel far guiltier about a bruise than she expected. “I know.. Old, old habits. I had a bit more than I should’ve really and before I could think it through...” She shakes her head. “I got home alright. I didn’t want to bother you.” Sitting down at the table, she spots the bottles Sia had been cleaning, feeling like her point was proven.

“Honestly I’m probably like this because pretty much my dad didn’t have much of a relationship through out my life so being in love with someone is very foreign. I remember I got roped into writing an article for someone on that topic and it was hard.”
Zoe shrugged. She couldn’t remember her parents being together, but she remembered them both loving her dearly. Even if Floyd’s way of showing it was to not be around much. “Sounds fair.” She could say the same for herself, yet she’d fallen for people before. “I wish I could be as immune sometimes.”

Zoe chuckles at that, shaking her head. “Sounds like sound advice, honestly.” She wishes she could say the same. But no one knows who she likes, so for now it might as well be.

“I heard that alot of things have happen here. I’m just wondering if its safe for my friend Jonathan or not. They can take care of themselves but I’m asking for the safety of other people too.”
“No one can guarantee anything on this campus. But if they can take care of themselves, they’ve got a pretty good chance,” Zoe replied.
