Two impressive species of Simulti that seem to be thriving among the predatory organisms. It's not just size that gives them an edge.
S. iunctium breaks into sections when injured, allowing pieces to escape and replicate quicker.
S. ferrategus is far more impressive, expressing the same gene as P. scutum that allows it to build up minerals and metals in the water. It also has developed a new phase in reproduction, gestation. This gives its offspring time to build armor defenses before releasing them.
