Because she was afraid if Clarke left she’d never see her again. That this was it. She’s been fearing for her life. “Death to the Commander”, uttered again in just this episode. But she was trying to be strong for Clarke. But that kiss just broke her and all those emotions came to the surface; the love, the fear, the pain just…everything.
