( regarding: tagging system. )
i understand, that the way i tag things on this blog might not be as easily comprehensible to you, as it is to me — so let me try to decipher it for you.
nothing on this blog will have a standalone tag. this is due to my particular method of organization: in giving each post multiple tags, both a general & specific one — i also give everyone multiple opportunities, to find what it is they’re seeking.
for example: say that you’re looking for a particular post you want to reblog, because you feel it relates to your muse: you can either do one of two things from here — search through the general musings tag ( re: musings ) ( & a note: all general tags have an re at the beginnings. this is short for regarding, or in regards to ) or go to the navigation page, & find the specific tag for it ( if you can recall the name — & not everyone will ). by doing things this way, it provides an extra sense of security, that you may always find what you’re looking for: if not in one way, than possibly in others.
in regard to any given post, the general tag will always come before the specific one.
so, for instance: you find a post you were searching for, but along the way, you happen to find others that you’re intrigued by. but adding them all to your likes can quickly turn it into a huge mess, not to mention the possibility of them getting buried in there — so what can you do ? well, it might seem confusing, especially if the posts you want to come back to have more than two tags ( which is possible — they’ll each be tagged in whatever ones they pertain to ): but, if you remember the posts by the fact that they’re all under general musings, all you have to do, is look to the tag next to it to find the specific one ( & a note: it’s easier to find a single post through it’s specific tag — as there are multiple tags for different things, ex. musings. general tagging proves more efficient, when you’re browsing around ).
but what if there are more than three tags under a post ? for the most part, this only happens with regard to threads & reblogs of forms. but, in any case you see — think of the tags as a filing system: you open a folder to find the information inside, divided into multiple subsections, & within those subsections, there’s even smaller sectors. the system works it’s way down, from the least particular, to the most.
if you apply that to this blog, & follow the tags on each post from left to right, it should look a little something like this: ex. ( re: flesh ) — least specific, ( re: predominant ) — more specific, vi. ( feast upon her peerless gaze. ) — most specific.
( some parting notes — a reiteration )
there are at least two ways, through tagging, that you may find any given post. this extends to both in character, & out of character .
if there are more than two tags on a post — remember that they’re all organized from least specific, to the most.
