The gardens grew warmer day by day. The presence of the Queen, the Evenstar, blessed the white city and the white tree slowly came to bloom. Such is the magic of the elves and the banishment of evil from these lands. Though her heart grew soft, Éowyn’s hands were still wrought from iron, a healers touch lay beneath gauntlets when needed but the hands of a warrior they’d remain forever.
In times of weary, the White Lady would wander the gardens where she met the sun. Reminded there is warmth in the world even in the darkest of days, for the darkness could never truly consume the light. That is what he taught her those long weeks cooped up away from what her heart desired most, the anger threatening to burst through, a storm raging in gray eyes but the light still seen within.
A new warmth had filled her heart, pulling Éowyn from her thoughts and she knew who it was that came to her side for this is no warmth like this she has ever known. ❝ You wander far alone my Lady. ❞ Her smile is small, but no less genuine, ❝ But I am grateful for your presence. ❞ Lady Éowyn bows her head where Arwen would press her lips to. The White Lady’s smile grows but her head does not lift, for embarrassment colors pale cheeks. Strange, she thought, strange how some could bare such warmth inside them. ❝ Will you roam the gardens with me? Lord Faramir roams the Northern borders and I am in need of company, if the Lady pleases. ❞
