He gently picked the other up, hoisting him up into the air and hugging him close. "I love you."

"Oh—!"

Gian made a surprised noise, holding onto Ivan’s shoulders tightly in a short pinprick of fear. The feeling dissipated quickly and was replaced with a warmer feeling in his chest and he laughed as he nuzzled the other’s nose.

"I love you, too. What’s this all about, all of a sudden?"

He gave a little laugh, pecking Gian's lips as he hummed, nuzzling the other right in return. Ivan was smiling, a little brighter than he has been before.

"I think today is the day we're going out on a trip."

He snuck behind the other, covering his eyes with a gloved hand, smiling slightly. It was a simple game of 'Guess who?' But he couldn't say, because it definitely would give him away.

Gian positively jumped, shoulders tensing in slight embarrassment as he emitted a squeak. A hand reached up to cup over the one blinding him, and upon feeling the material of the glove a warm smile faded into existence.

Snickering, he took the hand and instead placed it over his mouth so he could give it a kiss.

“‘Morning, Ivan.”

A little freckled nose scrunched as he snorted, eyes and tone taking on a more playful tone.

"I’ll hold you to that," he lilted, patting Ivan on the cheek. "That kissable bum is practically necessary for me to sleep."

Gently brushing his thumb over Gian's nose, Ivan pressed a kiss to the lobe of the other's ear, smiling against it.

"Kissable? Alright, I'll take your word for it. And I won't leave it out, either. Don't leave yours. Or your entire body. You could be my personal heater," he gave a small chuckle.

GIan couldn’t help but grin— Ivan’s smiles were relatively rare, although still more frequent around him. And so— even if they weren’t as rare as they used to be, he still got a warm feeling when he was able to pull them from the Russian.

"Good," he chirped, giving the other a peck on the lips. "It’s no good for cuddling if I’m already asleep by the time you get to bed."

Kissing Gian in return. Just a small peck, and then yet another to his nose and cheek as he nuzzled at Gian's head. "What a shame. Then it looks like I'd be getting my ass in bed earlier, because I need your cuddles to sleep peacefully."

Ivan cupped a hand to the other's cheek, gently stroking at the skin there adoringly, the smile still in place.

"Mmh," Gian stretched in an exaggerated fashion, arm reaching out to tug Ivan closer by his shoulders with his hand patting the far side of the Russian’s face. Very smooth with the yawn-arm-shoulder move.

"Fine, I guess," he murmured, pressing a quick peck to Ivan’s cheek before pulling away to stand and stretch some more. "Was a bit cold without you at the beginning. Please stop staying up so much later than me."

He didn't question the gesture, and he moved close into Gian's arms, wrapping his own around the smaller Prussian's waist. Ivan's lips lingered on the skin, and he nuzzled into the blonde hair when he was close enough.

As Gian pulled away, he rolled his shoulders back as he stretched somewhat in response to all of his lover's stretching. "I'm sorry, love. I'll try my best to get work done early so that we can sleep at the same time. Wouldn't want you to be cold." He offered a small smile, "I promise."

He pressed a kiss to the side of Gian’s head, nosing it as he nuzzled at him. “‘Morning, Darling. How did you sleep?” 

The to his hand kiss sent a small shudder down his spine, and Ivan was still smiling, a little more than before. His eyes stared gently at his beloved, tracing a gloved hand over the side of his face, bowing down to kiss his temple.
