his name is ian yoon-abrams. thirty-six years of age. works as a doctor at a home clinic if needed. had only just moved back in to marrow a few months ago with his spouse in tow, yet weirdly enough doesn’t really say why he left his job as a neurosurgeon in seattle. the locals used to know him as the quiet child whose nose constantly tucked in a book, if not singing praises with his family at the church—and it hasn’t changed much, except for the fact that he seems to be more comfortable in his own skin now, more easygoing and solicitous… even after his husband’s death, though he had become rather reclusive and unavailable. but that’s just what grief does to you, right?
BACKSTORY.
born in marrow to a devout catholic family. left for college after he received a scholarship to seattle
transitioned during his time away from home—eager to leave and never look back, much to his parents’ disapproval. not that he ever told them (they mostly communicate through letters and text messages)
met his future husband in the ER during his residency. held off marriage until his parents’ passing
became a neurosurgeon, renowned in his hospital for his brilliance and precision
this places him under immense pressure from his surroundings—both to maintain his reputation and the hospital’s—which eventually caused a miscalculation that killed his patient
the patient’s family decided to sue him for malpractice. ian then was suspended from the hospital and lost his medical reputation. not knowing where else to go, he chose to go home to marrow
although he no longer has the confidence to perform surgeries, ian opted on opening a home clinic, specifically in his late parents’ house

used to struggle with his religious side for quite a while due to his identity, but eventually came to peace with it as he believes god had created him as he is now and will accept him no matter what
