@reapsickleâ said:Â â i keep forgetting thereâs ghosts in here â for mishka !
A grin, almost childish in nature tugs at the corners of pallid tiers, granting a haunting sort of shade to her expression. â .. Arenât you DEATH? â She teases, leading the bespectacled boy though a maze of decrepit hallways, long abandoned following the fire which swallowed up the evidence of what had really occurred at this once-pristine asylum. She can still hear the patients screaming as their flesh is consumed by flames.. and it would seem that the Reaper could also hear them. â Does the presence of ghosts mean that youâve failed in your duties? â

âI just got back from the cemetery.â
âI swear I just saw someone⊠or something looking in my window.â
âI know I closed the damn closet door, but it keeps opening! Please tell me this is just some kind of joke you keep pulling.â
âWhatâs behind you in these picturesâŠ?â
âApparently like 20 years ago, some girl slaughtered her family in the basement.â
âI think thereâs something about this house that youâre not telling me.â
âI keep hearing noises coming from the atticâŠâ
âI know what I saw, and whatever is in the basement⊠itâs not human!â
âI didnât have time to see what it was! I just got the hell out of there!â
âWhose grave were you bringing flowers toâŠ?â
âThe electricity guy said there was absolutely nothing wrong â and yet, the lights always flicker on at 2am. Explain that to me?â
âWhy donât you spend the night in that house âaloneâ, then try to convince me that you donât believe in ghosts.â
âY-you donât understand, he didnât have a face!â
âI had a dream that I killed you.â
âAh, yes⊠the room youâre staying in. Itâs a paranormal hot spot, apparently.â
âI keep hearing whispers at night⊠I-I canât sleep!â
âThere was something else in there with me, Iâm not going back to that house.â
âCome on, itâs just an urban legendâŠâ
âAre you trying to tell me Iâve been sleeping in a dead girlâs room!?â
"I keep getting the feeling that someone is following me.â
âDonât panic⊠but I think thereâs someone else in the house.â
âI can still feel her/his ghost, and itâs killing meâŠâ
âThereâs something growling in the basement⊠could you, uh⊠check it out for me?â
âCan you just⊠can you please check the closet?â
âP-please⊠put the knife down.â
âI bought this haunted ring on eBay!â
âNo, no, no â run!â
"I didnât forward one of those freaky chain letters and now I keep hearing the laughter of children coming from my hallways at night.â
âThe dead are all around usâŠâ
âSheâs dead! Sheâs dead and yet I keep seeing her, everywhere!â
âThereâs something breathing under the bedâŠâ
"You canât tell me you donât believe in ghosts after all weâve been through.â
âI saw something I wasnât supposed to see, something⊠that wasnât supposed to be here.â
âMaybe an exorcism is in orderâŠ?â
âI woke up, and it was j-just⊠staring at me.â
âHe was there, then like a second later he literally vanished! I saw it happen!â
âI like the ghosts here⊠they keep me company.â
"You canât honestly tell me youâre in love with a dead girl.â
âWasnât someone murdered in this house? Why are we here?â
âIf dying means being with him/her, kill me. Iâd be happier that way.â
âGhosts arenât real. You need help.â
ââŠwhat do you mean we didnât talk last night? You came over, you were here.â
âYou saw something you werenât supposed to see. And now⊠now you know what has to be done.â
âIâm pretty sure my toasterâs haunted.â
"Whatâs wrong with you? You look like youâve seen a ghost.â
âDonât! Donât you dare open that door!â
âI visited his/her grave for the first time todayâŠâ
âSomething terrible happened here, didnât it?â
âWh-why do you have a knifeâŠ?â
"Youâre all bloody, what happened!?â
âYou know that book from The Evil Dead? Yeah, well⊠Iâm pretty sure we found something pretty damn similar to it.â
âYouâre bleedingâŠâ
âHow can you not see itâŠ? Iâm dead! Iâve been dead for years!â
âIâve always wanted to see you choking on your own blood.â
âIâm sorry, Iâm busy Friday with the⊠funeral and all.â
âIâll never forget the sound of his screaming.â
âFrom the looks of it, the afterlife is a lot more fun than this.â
"Legend has it that you can still hear her crying for her lover in the dead of night.â
âI want to be dead, too.â
âWell donât you look lovely, all covered in blood.â
"Whoa â wait! Please donât go down there⊠letâs just get out of here, please?â
âYou played with a Ouija board!?â
âMe and some friends played with a Ouija board the other night⊠and things have been a little strange since then.â
âThereâs so much negative energy in this house⊠do you know if someone died here?â
âYouâre always hanging out in cemeteries⊠and yeah, itâs kinda creepy.â
"They just donât believe like they used toâŠâ
âI will haunt you until the end of time.â

A rush of blood swells in the apples of her cheeks as she cringes against the musky, salty taste left upon her tongue. Watering eyes shut tight, she trembles in place as the man above her rocks his hips one last time before drawing away, opening the chasm of her throat once more and freeing her hair from his grip. She doesnât dare to spit out what was left; instead, she swallows under his watchful eye while he groans, and orders another drink from the bar beneath which she sits on her knees. Itâs an exclusive club â plenty of men who had money came here to do things that should never be done to girls like her. He jerks his knee against her cheek, shooing her from his feet while heâs served another whiskey on the rocks, and she keeps her head down to prevent her gaze from meeting any of the eyes that had been watching as she was used. Public service was always so humiliating.. but it paid well.
Shameless, absolutely shameless. Was he enjoying the show? Of course, why wouldnât he? She seemed pretty experienced in this craft, one would berate him for being a creep, enjoying the sight of others having sex.
But⊠he found it arousing. By the looks of it, the girl didnât enjoy this little job of hers too much.
It was unfortunate for her that Laito was there, since by the looks of it. HE wanted a turn in humiliating the girl, and stripping her of every remainder of her dignity she had left.
Lifting himself from his seat, and going over to the two. ââMm⊠are you two done yet ~?ââ An eccentric cheery tone accompanied his words, ââIâm feeling a little needy you know ~ and I will pay wellll ~âȘââ Cue the vampire flaunting some money he may have taken off an aristocrat. He was one himself but his oh so horrid father was a cheapskate, soâŠ
The rise of another voice draws her attention, and while she lifts her head to observe the man who had propositioned her for a moment, she quickly bows it low, knowing better than to meet a client's eyes without permission. She withers slightly, awaiting the response of her current client.. but he gives a gentle kick to her side and a grunt, finished with her for now, and she crawls a few inches to the other man's feet with tight shoulders and furrowed brows. Keeping her head low, she whispers, barely audible among the drinking and conversation around them.     â I.. would be happy to serve you, Sir. Here? Or.. s-somewhere more.. private? â The thought of another public use is humiliating, but often times the men who liked to be watched were less likely to be inexcusably rough with her. Really, there was no lesser of two evils.. this simply was what it was, and her mind had long since shut off the painful responses of fear, shame, and self-loathing.

starter call for MISHKA! -- fair warning, these may be frightening or gory.
excrsiismsâ:
Pale digits cautiously drift toward her side as she takes a step backward, feeling the ground with her heel as she keeps her hand within reach of the hidden blade strapped against her shin. Each step of this man, or creature (she couldnât tell, it hadnât spoken, but it was on two legs, that much she could tell) drew her muscles tighter as her brows furrowed anxiously. Just as she parts her lips to issue a warning, heart pounding in her breast, it speaks. Itâs a manâs voice.. deep and low, smooth as silk.. almost comforting.. but unfamiliar. She listens, if suspiciously.. but purses her lips in turn for his request.
â .. Iâm.. afraid that I canât. The people here.. arenât welcoming to outsiders. â If anything, they might take him for a lycan and burn him at the stake; after all, it was impossible for a traveler to make it this far into Wolfsbane forest alone.. as far as they knew, anyway. â You.. you should go. This forest isnât safe. There are MONSTERS here. â And he may very well be one of them.. but unlike the other villagers, Shiloh was more hesitant to damn a person without reasonable proof. Perhaps her lack of sight had granted her the ability to see more than the eyes would allow.. but still, she must be cautious, lest she fall victim to harm.
âI seeâŠâ A small involuntary sigh escapes his own mouth as he is confronted with the fact that nobody around the area seems to enjoy the company of strangers. He didnât want to stay for too long. His goal was simply to not spend his time resting underneath the open skies. To have a bed and a room for once. But it would seem that this place had the same mindset when it came down to those who were coming from beyond their little community. He waited a few moments to continued speaking. He didnât want his disappointment to show in such an obvious manner, but it seems this has only made it more honest.Â
âI amâŠwell awareâŠof the dangers ofâŠthis place. I amâŠworkingâŠto kill..those monstersâŠit isâŠmy profession.â He simply shrugged, even knowing that the other would not see his gesture. Perhaps she had heard of the monster killers. Or perhaps she didnât. Maybe she will believe him more. Or maybe she will not. It didnât matter. If he wonât have any shelter, He should move. Perhaps he would need to go guard this lady until she returns home. âYou seemâŠto have wentâŠtoo farâŠoff the trail. Would it beâŠtoo dangerousâŠfor youâŠto returnâŠon your own?â
-- He kills monster?! She's speaking before she can think, her sightless eyes wide with hope.. a hope that should have long been killed by now. â You do?! I -- could you kill lycans? Do you think you could? â She draws in a soft breath, realizing that she may very well be speaking to one -- there's no way to tell if he's lying, and she would be foolish to trust him blindly.. quite literally so. Pursing her lips, she clutches her basket tighter and proceeds, knowing that it's too late to take back her words, and if he is lying, the only way to tell is to catch him in it.     â They.. they plague these woods. My village cannot go outside of the gates after dark, and even during daylight, it is dangerous. I.. hadn't realized that I'd lost the trail. There are huntsmen not far behind me.. they're sure to be looking. â If he was some sort of PREDATOR, maybe that would ward him off.. and if he wasn't -- â I'm not permitted to bring outsiders back to the village.. but, if -- if you can prove to them that you aren't a lycan.. that you can KILL the beasts we live in fear of, and you mean no harm to us, maybe.. maybe they might listen.. â But it would be a horrible danger to this person if her village was not so welcoming.
excrsiismsâ:
It wasnât possible â no.. beyond impossible, it was horrifying and unholy! What she had seen that man do â was he even a man? Fear floods her veins, filtering freezing blood through her limbs and sticking her in place, unable to do more than tremble as the beast in his masquerade slaughters a man like cattle and devours him raw, flesh and bone. She feels faint â she has to run, and yet.. she canât move. Tears well up in her eyes as her heart pounds in her breast, her lungs burning as she drags in ragged breaths.. â move, MOVE!    She forces her weight back, her heel stumbling clumsily against the sidewalk. Heâs continuing on; perhaps she should go and try to help whatâs left of the poor victim, but.. she knew in her heart that there was no hope for him. He was as good as mulch now. She should just run, while he hasnât noticed her â but then he stops. Her heart halts in her breast.. and when he looks back, it leaps into her throat, choking a scream that sheâs grateful she couldnât voice. Staggering back further, tripping against a tree root and catching herself on the trunk, she turns and finally finds the strength in her legs to bolt backward through the park.    Did he â did it see her? Is the being chased?! She doesnât have the courage to look back.
There it was- the hunt had started, his most favourite part, aside from devouring the intended victim. Panic and sweat that filled his nostrils only excited him more and more sensing it as she continue to extend her distance. Was he not careful enough to not be seen? Not that he cared - ghouls were meant to be at the top of the food chain⊠it is human nature.Â
A quick adjustment of his purple quiff and he was off in a heartbeat, leaping through the trees and lurking within the shadows, red pupils followed her every step. Awaiting for breath to finally cease he stopped, resting on the trunk of a nearby tree and just watchingâŠstaring. The cracks from his eyes grew as he wiped a little bit of leftover blood from his cheek.Â
âItâs considered rude to leave without finishing the meal.â Purring his sentence as he watched âIt really isnât worth running much further, youâll just end up with fatigue and ruin your delicious scent ~âÂ
Her lungs burn with the effort of breathing, and she gasps harder against the hot tears welling behind her eyes, but she will not allow herself to stop until she is certain that she is far, far away from what had happened! Consumed by panic, she follows the walking trail through the woods along the edge of the park, planning on running all the way home before daring to halt.. but she's begun to slow after long minutes of exertion, and her ears catch no sign of life amidst the foliage. Are even the woodland creatures sleeping now? She can go on no longer, and leans against a nearby oak to catch her breath, clasping at her chest and crumpling to her knees.     Sweat beads along her brow -- and then she finds the courage to look up. Oh, how she wishes that she hadn't; there he is, comfortably seated upon the trunk of a fallen elm, seemingly amused by the show of her terror. How had he caught up to her so quickly?! He isn't human -- IT isn't human!
â P -- please!! â She weeps, drawing back against the tree with a renewed sense of strength, fueled by sheer panic and fear. â I-I didn't see anything! I don't want to die.. !! I -- .. !! â If she couldn't outrun this monster.. what hope did she have?!
excrsiismsâ:
@earthlyregrets, from here.
An unhinged giggle bubbles up from the girlâs throat, raw and dark â and then itâs swallowed with a harsh gasp, teeth clicking together sharply as she swallows the rising malice. â .. Not.. anymore. I was.. too late. â She isnât hiding; if he descends further, he shall see her in plain view, through the darkness of the windowless basement. Hands stained with fresh sanguine, her eyes focus upon the corpse mangled on the ground at her feet.    â .. It took the SOUL. â
â Wait, what!? â The girlâs words sent a shiver down his spine. He rushed down the stars, coming face to face with the gruesome sight on the floor in front of him. He kneels down, examining the mangled corpse. Othello was far too late. Even if he knew what had happened, he wouldnât have been able to do a single thing about it. Chartreuse eyes focus on the crimson gore that covered the girlâs hands. She couldnât have done this.Â
â Do tell me what happened. Surely you didnât do this, right? â
Perhaps he had not heard; she repeats herself once more, rocking her weight from one heel to the other as the menace within her settles, swallowing up the fresh blood she'd taken into herself. â .. Too late. Soul's gone. It took it. â The body lying face-down on the ground should, for all intents and purposes, have been staring back up at them.. but those wide eyes forever frozen in terror have been turned downward, the neck spun completely about, limbs askew and snapped in multiple places to deep that the bone has pierced the flesh. It's a massacre.. but there is no sign of an external struggle, no bruises..     â The Devil did it. â She clarifies, lifting her dulled gaze to Death as he leers ever closer, surveying the brutality of the scene. She offers him a tiny smile; does she find amusement in the situation? â Devil inside.. devil outside.. devil inside. â As she speaks, her pale, blood-soaked fingertips drift from the corpse -- inside -- to the ceiling -- outside -- .. and to her own stomach. INSIDE.
@xfaucheuseâ
The water is ice cold against snow-white fingertips, half frozen in the first light of winter's kiss.. but that doesn't deter her. The surface ripples as she lays her palms atop the crystalline mirror, careful not to disturb it too deeply.. but the darkness feels deeper than before, and in the following silence, the depths begin to churn and roll and rumble with life. Found you. She keeps her hands in place, agitating the spirits below, the pallor of her azure eyes creeping back to give way to their whites as her body shudders in time with the lake. Come out, come out, wherever you are~     Dry lips part, jaw open wide -- wider still, bones cracking in disjointed fashion as the dark waters begin to pour forth from her throat, seaweed and salt spilling out over her gown mingled with blood in a macabre exhibition of exorcism. The wind is howling -- or is it the evil within that cries so loudly?
