I’m finally listening to the full album and I knew from sound alone that Empty would be the song I would fall in love with immediately, and can I just say, it did not disappoint. Rarely do I cry at the first listen of a song, but those harmonies at the end had me actually tearing up because that’s the shit I absolutely live for. This album is honestly one big tug at my heart and I can’t deal with it. All the dissonant chords and resolutions, all the slight but beautifully effective variations on the same melody, the various techniques and vocal tones, and of course Dae’s unique and gut-wrenchingly gorgeous voice make this album so perfect to me and I’m just so proud of him ;;; Empty just came on again though and I’m in tears once more so I think that’s my cue to stop. tl;dr jung daehyun is a genius, incredibly talented, and deserves all the good in the world
