"Don’t you remember?"

A blur of lights… metal hitting pavement on both sides before finally coming to a stop, glass shattering around him. The Impala had been left a mess, completely wrecked, pieces of what used to be his most prices possession now scattered along the streets. Blood trickled down a bruising, yet paling face. Somehow, by some miracle, his heart was still going. Incredibly faint, but still beating. Blaring the sirens, the ambulances, fire trucks and cops tried to make their way through to the scene, pushing aside some people that were already beginning to gather around. Whoever had been in the vehicle was presumed dead before they had even breached the Impala.

Surprising it must have been to find their assumption to be wrong. Yet the final moments that brought him to this state of mind had been nothing more than a suppressed memories. One that would most likely haunt his dreams, along with the monsters he hunted virtually his entire life. Flickers and flashes of Hell, of death would come and terrorize his dreams.

But now, all that terrorized him was the lack of knowledge… not knowing his name, where he came from. Did he even have family? Who was she?

From calm, his heart rate began to speed up, to become more erratic.

He couldn’t remember anything, nothing that would indicate who he was. For some reason, her voice seemed familiar, her scent. Little did he know that the ring around her finger was something he presented to her, that the woman who stood in front of him was the love of his life. He didn’t know that she had been someone who stood there from the beginning of this entire accident. The kisses, the scent, the voice. It belonged to her. These factors caused for him to calm, ever so slightly. Because in all of this, there was a sense of familiarity.

"Who am I?"

A name. He needed a name.

He had heard it a few times, whispered into his ear, telling him to wake up, to give them some sort of indication that he was listening, that there was some sort of hope that he would wake up and that he would go back to being their usual Dean.

Now that it came down to it, to try and think of a name, he couldn’t.

Drawing blanks were frustrating as Hell right about now. The thought that he probably had a big life, a life he couldn’t remember. What if he never remembered again?

Training his gaze onto her, he scanned her physiques. He couldn’t draw a memory of her, of the two of them together. And for some reason, he felt a pang of guilt because of this. Somewhere inside of him, he knew that he should be remembering her. She was special, and incredibly dear. But why? Was she a relative, lover?

"Who are you?”

Jaws clenched to the news that someone just took off with his baby, knowing whoever had just taken it was going to wish they never had. First thing was first, catching up to them. And he couldn't exactly do that by foot.

"You wouldn't happen to have a car, would ya kid?"

Everything seemed fine now. The man was retreating, she and Dean were okay. But Kyleigh should have been able to see that it wasn’t over for Dean. She was used to him not saying much when out on runs. He liked to focus on the task at hand, so did she. That was probably why she didn’t realize he had left her side. Only when she heard the gunshot and scream did the runner realize he was gone.

Fearing the man had come back and done the worst to him, Kyleigh quickly pulled her own Glock out and her frantic eyes scanned the place. She froze when she heard the footsteps, ready to shoot if she had to. But it was only Dean. She noticed he had the bag of supplies back and hadn’t been harmed. Which she was happy about on both accounts. But a frown feel upon her lips when it hit her what he had done.

"Well yeah, now we have to," Kyleigh said as she returned her gun to its holster. Walking up to him, she punched him in his arm. Not too hard, but hard enough to show she was annoyed.

"Stop wasting ammo Dean! Especially on that piece of shit. He wasn’t worth it. Now come on, we’re burning daylight." They had to go now. No doubt anyone or anything in the area had heard the noise as well and would soon come to investigate. And Kyleigh did not want to be around for that.

He raised a brow, no having expected the punch to the arm. He thought she was angry at first, with the way he had behaved even after the man left.When she brought up wasting ammo, he felt some slight relief, causing him to let out a puff of air before he smirked. Sure, he was running low on ammo, but it was still damn worth the bullet. Somehow, somewhere, he would find some ammo to replace the one he just wasted. Hopefully, he wouldn't have a situation where he would need it... badly. Just one bullet could make a difference nowadays.

"I'll use a knife next time... unless you can keep yourself out of trouble."

He flashed her a smirk, a hint of sarcasm in his tone. He knew that she hadn't ask for it, and it could have happened to either one of them. He was just glad that she made it out without a scratch. For a second, he checked to see if they had everything in the bag before he led the way out, already able to see some of the infected approaching the area. He ducked, noticing their attention wasn't on them just yet, thankfully.

Hopefully, he wouldn't die too quick. They needed the distraction.

Turning on the heel of his foot, he headed out to the opposite end, where the Walkers weren't around.

"Are you okay?"

Blood trickled down hot, sweaty flesh, the forming bruises and open cuts slowly beginning to close and heal. Anything they had to throw at him, he was taking it particularly well. In fact, he found it amusing, especially because he could see the suffering, the pain in their own eyes as they tried to get the information out of what used to be Dean. Or at least, what had buried him far inside and had taken over. He was able to move around and communicate with them briefly before they began to notice something was completely wrong with him. And then the trap happened. Now, he was bound to this damned chair, unable to even scrape the damned symbol that kept him trapped.

Chuckling, he lifted his head, green orbs scanning the others through. He had been incredibly stubborn, not giving any information as to who he was or why he was here.

Tapping his fingers against the arm rest, he chose to ignore the burning in which the ropes triggered in his wrists.

"I'm sure you're all as bored as I am."

Unamused, impatient. Overall, eager to be released. He was sure they wouldn't kill him. No... he was positive. After all, how could they? By killing him, they would destroy and rid their precious Dean.

Snow had always called some of the Hunter's attention. Never did he bother to give it any, especially as he got older and slowly lost interest. After all, it was just snow. Rarely did he ever have a snow ball fight with Sammy, given a lecture on maturing and paying attention to their current hunt. Once the first snow ball had been flung by the other, it quickly sparked an interest, quickly sparked a fun with the snow he never got to really experience. He had already dodged the second, watching it whiz by his head. With a smirk, he quickly got a hand full of the freshly fallen snow, rolling and patting it into a tight ball.

The cold didn't bother him, his focus currently just being to get her back with that shot.

With a grin and a puff of cold air, he whipped the snow ball forward, already having a feeling that this was going to end up being a pretty long fight, one that would continue until one became far too cold and a break was to be taken, or until one completely gave up the fight. Quickly, he had already formed another one, ducking behind a small cover that had naturally formed, knowing he would have to build up on it, but it would do for the moment.

"You sure you want to do this?"

He was definitely coaxing, trying to bring up her fighting spirit a little so they could both go all out.

Standing amidst the bodies of demons that they had managed to fight their way through, Skye released a sigh. To be entirely honest, the fact that they had survived was a miracle. While they had suffered several knicks and cuts, punches, bloodied noses, blackened eyes, and various other minor wounds, they remarkably stood in one piece together. Going into the whole ordeal, she was near certain at least one of them would die- a thought that had kept her awake for nights.

Before she could truly process what was happening, she felt Dean’s hand close around hers, pulling her tightly into his grasp, his hands finding their way around her, one hand running across her hair, while the other came to rest in the middle of her back. She felt safe- happy- within his arms, and the fact that she was able to hold to him still was a blessing from whatever higher power there was.

To be entirely honest, nothing could have prepared her for his words as they stood there, soaked with blood- both their own and others- holding each other.

”I-” Her words failed her as she pulled back only just enough to gaze into his eyes, searching to determine if he was possibly joking. Yet the green hues staring back at hers were full of nothing but truth, and she detected the slightest bit of fear. Though she was unable to formulate any coherent words, she smiled softly at him, bringing her lips to meet his in confirmation of her decision. Of course she would marry him. And nothing in this world would tear her from him, not even death itself.

Her silence only worried him further, wondering if she wasn't ready for this type of commitment, if she was angry of the scenario he chose to propose to her in, or if she was simply angry. Once her words faltered, his heart instantly sunk to the very pit of his stomach. He instantly thought his proposal was denied, until she smiled and brought her lips to his. Quickly, he eased into it, eased into the entire situation. One thing between the two that could never be replaced, was the silent words that were spoken between them.

Moving his hands to her waist, he gripped onto her, keeping her in close. He worked his lips together with hers, having always matched up so perfectly. Slowly, he began to add a bit more pressure into hers, lips parting slightly in order to take in more of her lips and feel her, his hand having glided to the nape of her neck, the other resting on her lower back. As much as he didn't want to pull back, he was forced to. Taking in a sharp breath, he reached to his pocket, fumbling before he finally pulled out the black, opening it before he took out the ring. Taking her hand, e slipped it onto her finger, a grin playing onto his lips at how well it actually fit. The time he had taken t pick out the perfect ring had certainly paid off.

"I love you."

He didn't say this often enough, a habit he would have to start breaking. After all, she was his fiance now. He had to remind her every so often just how much he loved her, and just how much he still wanted her.

Brushing back her locks, he brushed his lips over hers before pressing into a soft, quick kiss.

"Let's get out of here."

Attention would soon be brought onto that spot, and he didn't want to be anywhere near it once it happened.

It had been a trap, Kyleigh knew that now. But when she and Dean had found the house and the supplies in it, they couldn’t pass it up. They were almost out of everything they had, so it just seemed like a no-brainer to go inside. They had even checked the entire place, so the asshole behind her must have been hidden somewhere. She wanted to shake her head at him and tell him not to give up the supplies, but she knew he wouldn’t listen to her. Keeping the gun pressed to her head, the guy reached out with his foot and kicked the bag of supplies behind him.

"Why’s she so special to you? She your girl or something?" he asked, then laughed. He did let her go, shoving her towards Dean. "Hey man, whatever floats your boat. Got my supplies. Y’all have a nice day now," he said. Keeping the gun trained on them both, he reached down and picked up the bag before backing out of the house.

"Stupid prick," Kyleigh muttered, then looked to Dean. "You alright?"

Keeping his gaze on the gun, he remained silent when he was questioned. He had no reason to answer, he had no reason to even attempt to communicate with the man. The only way he would communicate with the stranger, effectively, was with the barrel of his gun. There was no way in hell that he was going to escape with their supplies, especially after threatening her life, after commenting on her in such a manner. Anger had bubbled, a nerve had been stricken. With this, there was no real telling what was going through his mind.

Finally, his pistol was at hand, finger tracing over the trigger. He nodded to her question, even if it was something he should have asked her. He moved away, knowing he couldn't give the man too much of a chance to escape, knowing he would pick up the pace and eventually disappear with their supplies. And his life.

Wordlessly, he moved out of the house just as well. This place, these four walls and a roof that had once been considered safe, had become tainted within a manner of seconds. He would rather go in search of a new place then stay here now, especially since they couldn't be sure if the man had any partners that might come looking.

Within seconds of moving out of the house, there was a shot fired; followed by a blood curling scream. Dean wouldn't aim for the head, but rather the knee. Leave the man immobile, leave him for the Undead that would quickly maneuver their way to where the gunshot had echoed from. Returning with the bag of supplies strapped around his shoulder, and his pistol tucked away once more, he seemed to be cooling down a little bit once the trigger had been pulled.

"We're finding a new place."0

Finding the perfect ring had been more than a difficult task. Dean wanted the perfect ring around Skye's finger, something that put closure in their relationship, and protection. He had been planning to ask for a few months now, but he couldn't work up the nerve until now. Once he had found the right one, he had it blessed, keeping it in the box for a while, just sitting in the back pocket of his jeans. Plenty of time did he come close to asking, but he always backed out, the thought that she would deny it being in the back of his head. He never did imagine that he would settle down with someone, someone that many would go after simply because they were his weak point.

Many times did it already happen. How much worse would it become once they found out she was his wife? If, she ever did accept.

One last attack was all it took, one last push to realize that she could slip between his fingers any given day, or that he could slip between hers. Every day they spent together was a risk of some sort, and he would much rather use his breath to fight for her to be his fiance and his wife, then someone who might just become confused with where their relationship stood. There was plenty of confusion towards the beginning, whether it was friends with benefits, a quick fuck. No longer was there going to be confusion of where the stood.

Heart hammering, pounding and beating hard against his ribcage, he extended his hand forward to take her hand in his. Pulling her in, his mind seemed to shut down. No words formed, no reaction took place. Forcing himself to go with a natural flow, the corner of his lip quirked into a nervous tug.

"Marry me."

Getting down on one knee wasn't exactly his style, he wasn't one to go with things the way most did. But then again, most couples didn't stand in the middle of no where, covered in sweat, blood and dirt with blood stained weapons around them, with some poor bastard laying a couple feet away from them. And this scenario is exactly what made her so perfect to him. She was someone that was in his world, that shared his world, and accepted it. Most importantly, she accepted what he was. She didn't ask him to be any different, to change his life.

She was perfection, and more. She was everything he could have only ever imagined, ever dreamed of. She was someone that could make all the negativity that he saw in the future simply disappear. He didn't ever think there would be such a positive in his life.

She was a radiant light in his life. And he wouldn't lose her for the world.

Turning and keeping silent every time the two would wander in the same location had just started to become tiring. Damn both their stubborn attitudes, especially when it came to each other. At this point, no one would pipe up, no one would try to clear the air of what happened. Dean had no problem with this in the beginning, having spent the time just heading out and getting some things done. This put distance between the two, which is what they needed. At least, in that time. Slowly, he grow mundane of the situation, but he had a problem coming up with a sort of solution. Coming out right and apologizing wasn't his style, and he would most likely wind up making it worse.

Finding his mind wandering back to the situation, even when he was out searching for supplies, a sigh was forced from his lips. He wasn't one to fix things, but he knew he had to try. Time was too limited, and if anything were to happen, he didn't want it to end by them being pissed off at one another over a misunderstanding. Before he got back to base, he knew he had to have something.

Arriving back to their camping spot a couple hours later, he headed to his usual area in order to let a few things down. Once he spotted her, he drew in a breath before he finally approached, a pair of shoes being tied together by the laces. He had noticed how worn down hers were getting, and it was going to make moving around a bit more painful, so he went the extra mile, focusing more on finding something she could replace the ones she wore with. Because of this, he hadn't been able to bring back as much as he usually did, but he had intentions on going again the next day to play some catch up.

"They looked to be your size."

They were probably a size too small or big, but he couldn't entirely tell. There wasn't exactly many options, either, since people had stolen some pairs when the outbreak occurred, and other survivors were always looking for new articles of clothes and shoes as well. The pair he had brought back had been buried all the way in the back of the store. He had barely caught sight of them had it not been for a ruffle that averted his gaze in that direction.
