My computer decided to up and stop working on me so until I figure that out or get a new pc or laptop I’m stuck practicing and using my physical mediums.

So I decided to use that time to do still life’s of my friends dog I’m pet sitting

I did this piece on leftover card stock in pencil several months ago and finally got around to adding line art.

My brain has just not been feeling up to art lately with how my day jobs going. But I’m hoping that will change soon and I can go back to posting regularly.

I haven’t been able to make myself do much personal art while working my real world job, but I have started getting into ACEO cards and am really liking how nice it’s been to make something small.

My friend sent me a picture of her dogs and it looked like a double dog centaur. So of course I had to draw it in all its fucked up glory.

And today I even had a pencil…. But no eraser. So I guess fate has made it know that I’m not allowed to erase on my weekend doodles

Felt like drawing birds today until I saw a picture of the fattest rat. So as rat culture dictates he must be king.

But the messed up turkey looking weirdo is called a bustard and the angry bird is a hoary puffleg. I promise I did not make those names up. Scientists are just funny

It started as a Fox but then it got a bunny face and I didn’t feel like drawing the back legs so it got a bob cat tail. I like to think it’s either a fantasy creature or alien.

It's a day late but I reallllllly wanted to do a rendered colossal squid baby after I saw the more saturated stills that some journals were using.

I might redo it without lines when I have more of my art jig back but for now I'm happy with this piece for now.

I LOVE how deep sea creatures kinda look like space creatures as well because once I got to the background with the dark blues my brain was becoming obsessed with the space squid idea.

Posting a lot of doodles today because there’s not much to do when no one calls because of the holiday.

And I felt that it would be a shame to not do a rabbit doodle on Easter

Just found out about the film of the baby colossal squid and felt like draw in my own. Now the number of tentacles is wrong because I got tired of freehanding them.

I’m lucky that even though it’s Easter and I work the weekend and in customer service that my morning has been slow. It allowed me to doodle this lil guy.

The video I saw of the baby squid the translucent skin looked kind of scaly and that’s why I added a scale marks

I also learned that there are sandwich islands which is crazy

I got a new job and it’s been a struggle to adjust but I think I finally have so I’m gonna try to go back to my usual schedule of posting on Tuesdays and Fridays and sometimes Sunday.

Sundays will probably either be doodles or infrequent because my new job has me working Saturday thru Monday.

But I’d really like to start posting again because it’s been making me sad not to but I’ve had no motivation from the mental exhaustion I had from learning new skills and dealing with strangers

The Finale Ferret : Cupid Angel

He's coming to shoot his shot, but he's also got bad aim so it'll probably take a while. I mean just look at how late it's gotten already. It's already dusk!!

I went through 3 sketches of cupid angel ferret. I was going to go big and do a biblically accurate angel with floating arrows and eyes but the sketches just didn't feel right even after reworking them. So I went back to the basics and decided to do just a lil guy. I think he fits in with the other ones better anyway

Todays Ferret theme is Flowers!

I entered a fugue state or something when I made this. It was just the gift that kept on giving. I'm just so happy with how most of it came out. granted the right front paw and the face are kinda weird but more in a 'medieval charming but tramatizing' way.

I considered going back and fixing it but the energy gods have left me and I am all out of redbull.

Todays Ferret theme is Candy Hearts

When I first sketched this ferret and lined it my idea was actually to make a cherry pie/tart ferret but the mix just wasn't working and as the drawfee crew would say "delete your art"!!

so I changed course from a pale ferret color scheme to a darker one and when I was messing with the color of the tail it clicked "why not a a rainbow" and because its valentines theme why not candy hearts.

and from there the render when quite fast. I'm very happy with how it turned out today and am excited for tomorrows ferret!
