On the night of September 8, 1990, María Soledad Morales, 17, was taken by her boyfriend, Luis Tula, 28, to a party, where she was drugged, repeatedly raped, tortured and killed by a group of 4 to 8 people. Among those attending the party were Guillermo Luque (son of Deputy Angel Luque), Miguel Ángel Ferreyra (son of the police chief with the same name), Pablo Jalil and Diego Jalil (nephews of the mayor).

The body was found 2 days later in Daza Park by police officers. The scalp had been removed, the ears were cut, the eyes were emptied, cigarette burns were present throughout the body and it had been partially eaten by pigs. The police chief, father of one of the party attendees, ordered to wash the body destroying any possibility of a serious investigation, the autopsy revealed death from a heart attack due to the combination of cocaine and pain due to torture.

In 1998, only two people from the so called "children of power", were convicted of "rape followed by death aggravated by the use of narcotics," although it is estimated that more men participated in the crime. Guillermo Luque was sentenced to 21 years in prison and Luis Tula was convicted to 9 years. Today, they enjoy freedom.
