What is your favorite airport? I am also based out of Indy and have been at 10+ airports in the past month and I cannot tell if it's just familiarity or if I do unironically really like the Indy airport. As someone who does an order of magnitude more flying than I do, I'm curious if you have an airport tier list or any controversial airport opinions
I've taken around 80 flights so far this year, and just passed a million miles flown with a single airline (Delta) even though I'm no longer particularly loyal to Delta.*
I've been in almost all of the top 50 largest airports in the U.S. and I think the airport in Indianapolis is the best mid-size airport by a wide margin. Art? Pretty good. On-time percentage? One of the best in the country. Chapel? Excellent. Staff? Friendly. Food? Good. WiFi? Fast and free. I just fucking love the Indianapolis International Airport.
My only complaint is that it needs a nonstop flight to London so that I can see AFC Wimbledon more often. But the Dublin flight is great. I love the IND airport. It's just the best. I wish the Airport Authority would hire me as an unpaid intern; I would unironically accept the opportunity.
*I am no longer loyal to any airline because airline loyalty programs are mostly credit card companies that have lost most of their value to frequent flyers and I'd rather just fly whatever's cheapest and most convenient.
