Iida would appreciate Bakugou’s passion and willingness to jump into action, as well as his ability to take the lead. In this way, Bakugou is a bit more outgoing than he is– and Bakugou’s confidence and direct approach helps encourage Iida to try new things and break routine.

Bakugou would appreciate Iida’s integrity and trustworthiness, while also admiring his logic and reasoning skills. Iida can keep a cool head (though he has his limits) during times where Bakugou would have flown off the handle; he reaches rational and understandable conclusions, and can communicate these things freely and concisely– while Bakugou still has difficulty working through and identifying his own emotions.

And lol just imagine they’re having a spat and Deku is roped into being their messenger (until Uraraka is like “No. Those idiots are the ones who have to talk to each other…”)
