Suhoooooo~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chanyeol, I'm back!
Did you, by any chance, miss me?
An improbable and unexpected chance // Suho & Jongdae
Honestly, Jongdae hadn’t expected his professor to walk towards him and to return his jacket. If anything he’d hoped for Suho to stay away, far away from him and to not ignite any old feelings within him. But obviously things never worked out his way because Jongdae could only stare dumbly, blinded by the smile he’d once loved so much.
He grabbed at the jacket, fiddling with the fabric before grunting a soft, “whatever,” unable to contain the frown and blush that creeped up his face. He could somehow sense the stiffened atmosphere around the both of them but he couldn’t do much, not when he knew he was the cause of it as well.
Watching Suho leave he remembered vaguely the last time he saw his back. Had it been weeks ago? Months? Jongdae wasn’t too sure. He hadn’t been sure in a long time anymore ever since Suho had left. All he could do was hang onto the memory of what he though he and Suho could have become.
Mindlessly he flipped to page 67 of his workbook and let out the loudest grunt when he saw the questions — obviously unsure as to how to answer any of them. He had gotten worse at biology, almost failing and it didn’t surprise him one bit. His mind was always preoccupied during the lesson.
He grabbed a pen, eyebrows knotting as he stared hard at the questions, unable to pin point what the answers were. How the hell was he supposed to answer anything?
Finally giving in to the part of himself that though 'fuck it i will do what i want', he pushed the book and worksheet aside, wrapping himself in his jacket before resting his head a top the table. He closed his eyes, tired and sleep came easy to him. He wasn’t bothered to even try in the class anymore. Not when his professor was the man he had once poured his soul into. He prayed silently that the class would finish soon, that he could finally leave.
Sitting at the desk, the professor kept glancing between the class full of students working and the pile of textbooks and workbooks open in front of him. Planning was such a pain but it was what kept most of his lessons and classes on-track.
The other half of the time, it was a complete mess, literally. Sometimes Suho would be standing in front of the class, rambling off on some random tangent, the students losing their focus and either falling asleep or fooling around. But that was rare with Suho. The most that ever happened was when he found himself falling for Jongdae. God only knows why his mind was always preoccupied with thoughts and images of the other male, but his unanswered questions soon were all cleared when he started being honest himself.
He glances up from his laptop screen, his fingers pausing for a brief moment to scan the class before looking down at the screen once more.
Wait--
He looks up once more, eyes locking on the second row, front desk.
Suho sighs, knowing what his simple action meant. Jongdae wasn't even trying anymore. If he wasn't trying, why the hell did he even bother coming to class anymore? Clicking on the gradebook icon, Suho taps on his Biology class and scrolls down to Jongdae's name. F. Jongdae hasn't even bothered with doing any assignments at all since Suho left.
Who was he to even blame Jongdae? Obviously, Suho is clearly the root of the problem.
Suho rubs the bridge of his nose some before running a hand through his hair, sighing quietly. Soon after, the bell rang and Suho stood up, dismissing the class. Next period being his free class, he clears his throat, Jongdae probably still in a deep sleep at the desk. "Jongdae." As the last of the students piled out of the room, the professor closes the door and turns to face Jongdae's desk, tapping lightly on the wooden surface. "Hey, can we talk?" The male stirs slightly in his seat, Suho stepping back some as he waited for the other to fully awaken.
