Seriously, theyāre YOUR OCās. It doesnāt matter if you made them 3 weeks ago or 3 YEARS ago. Youāre allowed to change them however you like. If you feel a certain headcanon suits them better, even if itās been 5 years down the track from when you started writing them, then change them!Ā
Your OCās belong to you and no one else. Youāre allowed to change them as many times as you likeāboth physically and mentally.Ā
Characters grow over time, just like people. Certain parts of their story might not come to light until months after writing them. And just when you think you know who your OC is, something else springs up and might explain why they are a certain way. Embrace that change and growth. Understand and accept who your OCs are, even if they are a villain muse. Let yourself know that theyāre allowed to grow as we, the writers, do. They will shape and form with us.

Ok, Iām not a big fan of these kinds of posts, but lately, Iām becoming more and more disheartened so I need to know if youāre out there.Ā

Iām talking about those muses who are perhaps elderly, who are married/taken and not liable to affairs, muses who are asexual/aromantic, or even just muses whose muns donāt really want to ship.Ā
While Iām always happy that anyone would want to write with me, sadly, over time I have realised that my older/married/ace muses are very rarely (virtually never) requested. So please share this on your blog so that people know they can throw their muses at you who are not going to wind up in ships or with smut threads.Ā

by late, it means anywhere between 1 day to 1 year. because i know some people prefer writing and replying on the spot, but iām also sure lots of peeps struggle with that for various reasons, and threads get dropped because their partner has long lost interest or something, which can be very discouraging. so i hope we can all be understanding here!
Hi! Can you help let people know that tumblr is now blocking "promo" from searches and tags results? This means anyone using "promo" or "self promo" as is for their promo posts aren't showing up in tags. One popular alternative seems to be using promo with a period at the end instead, as the tag is still usable and doesn't get blocked.
Pizza can let them know this shit by answering this ask.
As someone who RPs when not doing shitty memes for Y'all, the shit tag system has been well shit. I mean Pizza has to force themselves to remember to tag the things in hopes Yāall might see the things.
To have tags nerfed more and more really sucks. The site becomes more and more user- un-friendly because they are fixing the shit that isnāt broke and leaving the shit that needs to go. (Looking at you Pedos and Nazis. and those who sympathize with you.) Did we really need the blue to be updated to burn your retinas out levels? Nope.Ā
Pizza could rant about so much shit. But weād be here for several days. And well most of the bitching has been done by others and Pizza has shit to do outside of Tumblr. Did Pizza say shit enough? Shit.

So I tried my own promo tag. I even checked it with the hashtag included just to be sure.
nothing.
As an Ask blog, this is bad news for me! But something occurred to me right as i was about to get mad.
Did they blacklist synonyms?
NOPE!!
Again, AS A TECH PERSON, I suggest we find another word to use like āintroā alongside the promo tag.
Hereās why.
1) Anybody thatās tried to implement a profanity filter or tried to block tags for content on their dash knows that blocking variations of one thing is easier than blocking variations of multiple things.
2) Given the recent ban on filth, Iām guessing they might be trying to find RP accounts that donāt post images. No images, nothing to run through the filth algorithm and this harder to catch.
3) Regular artists and even small businesses use the promo tag, so this is BAD for them too. Pretty much trying to kill business on Tumblr altogether, whether intentionally or not.
4) Agreeing on new tags, possibly more specific for their use, like āArt.Promoā or āRP INTROā will help us find out who Tumblr is after.
5) THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE THIS WAS AN ACCIDENT.
If so, adding a new tag into what you usually use will help your stuff be found until the problem is fixed.

I want to talk to people.
Yes part of this site is about rping with one another, and making sure that our muses talk to one another and potentially grow closer (or try to rip one another apart, but some of us want that too). But I do not want to just have the rp and nothing else. To be able to talk to one another and talk theoretical about our muses, or talk about ships.Ā
Hell, being able to talk about anything at all helps. Some of us just like to talk to one another, while others of us genuinely feel like people donāt like us when there is general silence. We want to form relationships, and for some of us starting interactions is hard enough that trying to find the courage to talk to someone OOC separately is nearly impossible to find.
This is an open invitation to come and talk to us. Make people feel welcome. RPing is more fun with other people anyways.
Ship fail? No worries.
Look, sometimes you try out a romance ship and it TANKS. Itās dead in the water before anything can happen. Flirting fails, thereās no gushy moments, no sexy times, no za-za-zing. My muse just doesnāt feel it, your muse just doesnāt feel it. Or, itās only one-sided and the rejected party feels WEIRD now. But that doesnāt mean we have to make it awkward and cancel all rp attempts! There is NOTHING wrong with keeping them platonic, having them bicker, or seeing them become some other kind of relationship, etc.Ā The RPC puts SO MUCH pressure on rom ships as being the ONLY way you can interact with muses, even if the muns still want to write their characters together somehow.
Now, if you only pursued my muse in the first place for a romance, and ignore me because of that, yes, Iām not going to lieāthat hurts & it feels gross. But if you just need time to reroute your muse, I get that too!! But thereās no need to feel āweirdā about it.
