13. our characters working together
"You know being a lifeguard isn't so bad." It was odd situation, since Marshal never would have guessed he had the skills to be one in the first place. Though after saving that one kid from the Jellicent, Marshal seemed to be a natural at it. At least that was what Marlon said before he went off to swim and enjoy the waves.
The two were supposed to be active lifeguards today, though funny enough everyone was too excited about an Elite Four and Gym Leader being on the beach, to enjoy the waves.

6. One character hitting the other
Marshal had just been passing through, when he caught site of a battle in progress. It was a 5-on-5 match, with this cute brown haired girl dominating the entire match. It was impressive since she was up against a female veteran trainer that looked at least 3 times her age. At LEAST.
"Impressive skills you have there. Surprising to see you're as strong as you are cute."
What's behind door number 20?? :D
20. My character finding yours high/drunk
"...Shauntal, are you drunk?"
Marshal wasn't sure what he was seeing right now. He saw an empty bottle of wine, which he wondered came from Grimsley's private collection or not. However, with his attention split between the toilet paper all over her room, the fact she's wrapped up partly IN toilet paper and the fact she and her ghosts are acting loopy and silly all over the place, the wine didn't get his full attention.
He now wondered what was he going to do when he's in a room filled with possibly drunken ghosts and a VERY drunken writer.

23. our characters waking up together
Marshal's body felt like he took a mega kick from a Hitmonlee, repeatedly. The last thing he recalled was that he was training, then a large shadow appeared on the ground below. When he looked up, something was falling down towards him.
"What happened?" He got himself together, looking around the area. He quickly saw N was there as well, the green haired boy waking up as well.
From what Marshal could gather, it looked like the legendary dragon N made friends with, fell from the sky due to some reason, crashing near where Marshal was.
"You okay, kid?" Marshal asked as he offered a hand to help him up.

Just a Night on the Town (Grimsley and Marshal)
Starting this off lol
Bored didn’t come close to what Grimsley was feeling. It was after hours, and he had grown tired of the books he had in his collection. Shauntal had shooed him away when he tried making light conversation with her, and Catlilin was in another one of those extreme deep sleeps she had from time to time. That only left one more person he could bother…
"Eyebrows" he chimed as he opened the door to the man’s chamber and up the steel stairs. As he expected, Marshal was busy punching a poor sandbag like a rapid Machamp. Grimsley admired how he was able to train so vigerously for so long (not to mention put up with the smell and feel of sweat ugh). It seemed he hadn’t heard his greeting the first time, so he spoke up again while clearing his throat,
"Good evening, eyebrows"
Marshal had been relentless in his punching bag training, his swift movements and forceful punches creating an almost rhythmic sound in his room. His mind was so focused, he at first heard Grimsley at all, by the second time he spoke, Marshal had been shocked out of his intense focus.
"What?" He asked curtly in surprise, holding out an arm to catch the punching bag that nearly came back and hit him. "What's up Grimsley? Need a bodyguard or loan?" He asked jokingly, wiping sweat off him with a towel he had near him.
Meeting the Master (Maylene & Marshal)
"Wow!" Maylene said in amazement as she walked on Unova’s Victory Road. She rarely went outside of Veilstone City, or her gym for that matter, so this was super exciting to her. As soon as she was able to get some time off she hopped on the nearest boat to Unova. And just as she had been told, it was a beautiful region.
But the main reason for coming was not the sights, or Victory Road itself. No, her goal was much bigger than that. Her goal was to see the person she idolized more than any other fighting type trainer; Elite Four member, Marshal.
A big grin spread across her face as she went further on the road. The excitement in her was building up more and more with every new step. To be honest though, she actually wasn’t sure if she’d get to see him or not. He could be off training, or eating lunch. It was just that time of day. But she knew it would be worth it if she could at least see him in person for once in her life.
She, of course, would love to meet him if she could, but since she wasn’t here to battle she was unsure of whether or not she’d be able to actually meet him. It sounded too good to be possible anyway. He was a busy man after all, and she didn’t want to bother him.
Maylene was so deep in thought that she had only now noticed that she had walked in on a training session. And guess who she saw.
Marshal had been middle of training in the forest section of Victory Road, his Sawk and Throh be his side as the three looking for any opponents. The lush greenery and brisk forest air carried by the wind, felt great to Marshal ad his pokemon. The nature was always of calming presence to him, making it easier for him to deeply focus on his mediation or training.
"It's so peaceful here. Even the wild pokemon seem more docile than normal. I wonder if something happened." He said to himself out loud, carrying his Sawk on his shoulders. Throh following behind the two.
They nearly walked into the cave portion of Victory Road before stopping, the three hearing someone else was walking nearby. Curiosity and boredom winning his actions over, he waited to see who was coming by. He wondered if it was just another trainer trying to head towards the League. It almost excited him a little, especially if the trainer was strong.
Needing to control his excitement he began to lift his Sawk and Throh, using the very unorthodox exercise to ease the adrenaline coursing through his veins. He was surprised to see who he saw.
"Aren't you a Gym Leader? I think from Sinnoh?" Well this was an interesting turn of events.
OOC
"Good to have you here with us, eyebrows"
"I could say the same. Your marriage to the night is on the rocks again, pal?"

Marshal sat beside is Throh, the two trying strengthen their bond and focus by mediating next to each other. Clearing their minds of all thoughts and focusing only on their breathing, the two stayed in a cross-legged meditative position for several minutes. As moments came and went, the two kept their focus, their breathing becoming slower and softer. By the twenty minute mark, they were basically living statutes.
Small pokemon watched them from afar, a few of the braver ones going so far as to go near the two. A pidove landing on Marshal's shoulder, treating him as if he was simple tree branch. The bird would have stayed perched their for much longer if the sound of footsteps didn't alarm it to someone coming towards them. Flying off, it went to a actual tree branch on a tall tree behind the two mediating fighters.
Watching to see what was coming and to see if anything would happen.
Lack of Inspiration [Marshal & Shauntal]
The sincere smile still rested upon her face as he somewhat admitted it- he can be so naive at times but of course the writer didn’t mind about that at all. In fact, she liked it that way. Despite his appearance that everyone seems to judge first as soon as they see him, he completely differed from it. Such a optimistic, yet soft person to be with when you got to know him and secretly she was glad that he made it into the Elite Four.
Being consumed in her own thoughts, she almost missed his cheesy pickup line and as soon as it hit her, her face gradually became berry red and in a matter of moments burst into laughter while attempting to cover her face with her notebook. “M-Marshal stopp! You’re flattering me too much!” Mostly she was flattered by the compliment, but then again it felt a little too much to be considered flattery. A single silly comment shouldn’t have made her work up so much, but why did it make her heart skip not one, but several beats? Or so it felt like it.
The brief silence that came afterwards made the whole atmosphere around them suddenly- awkward? Well that was the best way to put it. It was odd though, both of them were so used to being together and joking so what was the difference? Was it because of that sudden line that he decided to share with her? That was only a joke though… Wasn’t it?
She almost jumped a little at the other’s response and blinked a couple of times before responding, “Really?” The young woman never knew that he would be really up to it, but nevertheless she shook her head to her doubts and gave a generous smile at Marshal. “I’m glad to hear that you’re willing to do it then! It really makes me happy, Marshal.” Did that sound a little too off? No, it’s just her mind playing tricks on her again… Granted, she was still satisfied to hear that he was doing this from pure option.
Out of the corner of her eye, the Elite noticed how his Mienshao was signaling something at his trainer and she couldn’t help but wonder if it was a regular routine for the two. It looked like it came something out of a cartoon. Turning her head to Marshal, she wondered if that was what the pokemon was actually trying to say. “Huh? Oh of course I don’t mind! I should bring along Mismagius then to keep him company, she loves tagging along anyway.”
Shauntal gave a nod at the other. “We should and don’t worry, I’m used to writing in the dark. It’s one of my specialties, you know?” She joked, although it was true. She would be often seen under the streetlights or ask her Chandelure for source of light. “Then can we quickly visit my room, so that I can bring Missy along?”
Marshal watched as Shuntal went red from his comment, oh great she heard him! As she told him he was flattering her too much. Was it too much though? He did pretty much say what he felt to be true, so maybe he should try toning things down a bit? When she asked if he was meant in and told him she was glad to hear he wanted to do it, he nearly smiled again!
Normally, Marshal didn't smile this often! She with how Shuntal had been reacting to him and the fact she'd been smiling and laughing, it was infectious. The fact it didn't feel odd or wrong at all to be so happy and smiling around her felt, right? Marshal wasn't quite sure what to call it. Though he did know he liked it, whatever it was.
“Huh? Oh of course I don’t mind! I should bring along Mismagius then to keep him company, she loves tagging along anyway.”
"Oh good, Mienshao should enjoy her company." Marshal answered as said Mienshao resisted the urge to facepalm. The fighting type settling on looking away from his master, hiding his stupefied expression.
"We should and don’t worry, I’m used to writing in the dark. It’s one of my specialties, you know?”
Marshal let out a chuckle at her joke, "True, though careful now, Grimsley might get mad at you stealing his darkness-related thunder." Marshal was going to say something else, but stopped when Shuntal spoke up.
“Then can we quickly visit my room, so that I can bring Missy along?”
"Sure thing, Shuanty." He said as they all left his room and went over to hers. As they got to her room, seeing the dimly lit library, Marshal recalled what he was going to say earlier.
"You know, you kinda pull of the darkness motif better than Grimsley, just look at your room. Filled with tales that range from the sweetest of dreams to the mot terrifying of nightmares." He told her as he waited outside her door. "Though you both have the mystery vibe going for ya."
If I phrase it as "Which one is more attractive" will you answer it
“That’s better. Grimsley has the whole vampire look going for him, while Mentor has the rugged adventure man thing going for him. Clearly both have been deemed attractive by a quite a few people.Their fan clubs being the easiest example.” Thinking more, Marshal continued.
“Well if had to go by looks, Grimsley. Personality, Alder. Overall, I’ll just throw out a cop out answer with saying both are attractive in there own way and leave it at that.”
But if you could choose one or the other
“No. I refuse. I choose being alone.”
