(A strange person with a face that consists entirely of eyes knocks on your door though doesn’t say anything)

[Vesper stares at them through the peephole, quietly telling their parents to stay back if things go wrong. They were cursed and these were dangerous times.]
"Uhm...who are you?"
[A timid, nearly frightened voice asks. Eyes can't quite blame them though. They're, well, eyes.]

[Vesper hesitates but gently opens the door. They flinch as if anticipating an attack, their body as stiff as a board. Vesper waits...]
[Nothing happens.]
[Their posture goes back to the normal slouch they had before.]
"Oh...you're alright. Do you need help?"
[Vesper leans forward, a hand (AKA three vines) cups the side of their mouth.]
"I don't know if you can stay here though. My parents might freak out."

“no not really I’m moreso just looking to make friends, who are you?”
[Vesper reads the small board Eyes wrote on. They look baffled. Running around the apartment looking for friends? Are they crazy??]
[...Or are they actually sane and just ridiculously strong? I mean, waltzing around like this, you'd have to be one or the other.]
"I'm Vesper."
[They gesture to a bulky, confused man wearing a rust colored button up, watch, and jeans. He stands next to a shorter, pudgy woman who wears a white sweater and black pants.]
"These are my parents, Henry and Mary."
(They write)
“hi vesper! I just want to get to know more cursed so is it okay if I just talk with you?”
[Vesper nods. They step back, holding the door open for their new guest.]
"Sure. It'd probably be better if we went inside though. The halls are dangerous."
(they give you a thumbs up before walking in) (they offer your parents a handshake)
[They nod, closing the door behind Eyes.]
[Their parents were much less accepting of cursed than they were which made sense. Mary politely declined, her expression more nervous by the second. Henry, however, accepts the handshake. His grasp is almost like a vice grip.]
[Behind the smirk on his face Henry was a very very...stubborn man. The kind of man who'd run past a lion with a pair of porkchop panties if his dignity were on the line.]
[Any challenge that came his way he'd accept and he had gained a new one: being the best host in the whole damn apartment.]
(they hand a note to Henry)
“Nice to meet you, You may call me Eyes considering I don’t remember my actual name. If it wouldn’t be to much to ask do you have a snack or something I haven’t ate in a while”
[Henry puts on his reading glasses that hung around his shirts collar and reads the note.]
"Well, you came just in time. We have a little thing where every other Friday we have a pasta night. Mary's been busy with making this big tin of lasagna. It helps with that sense of normalcy, ya know?"

“that sounds great thank you so much, if you want any supplies in exchange I’d be happy to give you some”
[Henry nodded. He pats Eyes on the back, leading them over to the kitchen table. He pays no mind to Vesper muttering 'oh, here we go again' upon sitting down.]
[Mary glances at Eyes, her train of thought being interrupted by the oven timer. She puts on her mitts and takes the glass dish out of the oven.]
[The lasagna is placed down at the table. If Eyes were being honest with themselves this is probably going to be the best meal they're going to have in a while. Even if things are a bit awkward.]
(eyes hands another note to Henry)
“is it okay if I eat privately people tend to be scared when they see me eat”
[Henry seems offended. He opens his mouth to say something but Vesper stops him with a small gesture. For once in a while Henry shows some form of refrain.]
"Yeah, man. Just grab a slice. Bathroom is over there if that's where you want to eat."
[They point over to the other side of the room. Mary looks somewhat relieved at the fact Eyes doesn't want to eat with them.]
(they write) ”no it’s fine I can eat out here I just don’t want to scare anyone”
(they get a piece of lasagna and put it on a plate before sitting down)
[The tension is mostly gone now but it's clear that everyone is still a bit on edge. The family tries to focus on dinner but Vesper occasionally glances at eyes. There's no way that its that bad, right?]
[Vesper's seen worse...probably. Henry glares at them, trying to silently tell them it's rude to stare.]
[The plant child stops for the most part but still takes the occasional look.]
(Eyes grabs a fork and uses it to take a piece of the lasagna their face tearing open vertically to reveal a large mouth that they use to consume the piece)
[it goes about as well as Eyes thought it would.]
[Mary nearly drops her fork, she regains some of her composure and just stares down at her plate. Henry keeps up the act but is a bit unsettled and Vesper seems...jealous?]
[They seem to be muttering something about how cool that is while they eat their lasagna.]
(Eyes continues eating quickly finishing their food)
(they hand a note to Vesper)
“were you into gardening or something? I think plants are cool and want to know if there’s any distinct reason for your transformation.”
[Vesper reads the note, quietly cringing at the memory.]
[God, how are they going to explain this one?]
"Uhm...no. I had the opposite of a green thumb. I was heading over to a friend's place and...things went wrong. I don't even remember what the whole," [Vesper gestures to themselves.] "Transformation was."
[Juding by the expressions on their parents faces it's clear that they remember it very well.]
(OOC: You cannot convince me that Hellen got her hands on a corpse flower. That thing used to be a guy. Had to.)

“sorry to ask about that, at least you look cool!”
[Vesper reads the note. A small, bitter laugh making their head split open ever so slightly.]
"You're fine. I guess I do look kinda neat."
[The flowers rooted in their skull seem to stand a bit taller at the praise.]
"Can I ask about you? Do you know what happened to make you this?"

“I’d rather talk about that privately, since you’re also cursed I’m fine with telling you just not your parents”
[Vesper nods. They look to their parents, who nod back.]

[After dinner Mary put the leftovers in the fridge and began doing the dishes, their father stayed at the table while the plant child gestured for Eyes to follow. They'd talk outside. Best way to ensure privacy.]

[Vesper nods. They step back, holding the door open for their new guest.]
"Sure. It'd probably be better if we went inside though. The halls are dangerous."
(they give you a thumbs up before walking in) (they offer your parents a handshake)
[They nod, closing the door behind Eyes.]
[Their parents were much less accepting of cursed than they were which made sense. Mary politely declined, her expression more nervous by the second. Henry, however, accepts the handshake. His grasp is almost like a vice grip.]
[Behind the smirk on his face Henry was a very very...stubborn man. The kind of man who'd run past a lion with a pair of porkchop panties if his dignity were on the line.]
[Any challenge that came his way he'd accept and he had gained a new one: being the best host in the whole damn apartment.]

“Nice to meet you, You may call me Eyes considering I don’t remember my actual name. If it wouldn’t be to much to ask do you have a snack or something I haven’t ate in a while”
[Henry puts on his reading glasses that hung around his shirts collar and reads the note.]
"Well, you came just in time. We have a little thing where every other Friday we have a pasta night. Mary's been busy with making this big tin of lasagna. It helps with that sense of normalcy, ya know?"

“that sounds great thank you so much, if you want any supplies in exchange I’d be happy to give you some”
[Henry nodded. He pats Eyes on the back, leading them over to the kitchen table. He pays no mind to Vesper muttering 'oh, here we go again' upon sitting down.]
[Mary glances at Eyes, her train of thought being interrupted by the oven timer. She puts on her mitts and takes the glass dish out of the oven.]
[The lasagna is placed down at the table. If Eyes were being honest with themselves this is probably going to be the best meal they're going to have in a while. Even if things are a bit awkward.]
(eyes hands another note to Henry)
“is it okay if I eat privately people tend to be scared when they see me eat”
(A strange person with a face that consists entirely of eyes knocks on your door though doesn’t say anything)

[Vesper stares at them through the peephole, quietly telling their parents to stay back if things go wrong. They were cursed and these were dangerous times.]
"Uhm...who are you?"
[A timid, nearly frightened voice asks. Eyes can't quite blame them though. They're, well, eyes.]

[Vesper hesitates but gently opens the door. They flinch as if anticipating an attack, their body as stiff as a board. Vesper waits...]
[Nothing happens.]
[Their posture goes back to the normal slouch they had before.]
"Oh...you're alright. Do you need help?"
[Vesper leans forward, a hand (AKA three vines) cups the side of their mouth.]
"I don't know if you can stay here though. My parents might freak out."

[Vesper reads the small board Eyes wrote on. They look baffled. Running around the apartment looking for friends? Are they crazy??]

[They gesture to a bulky, confused man wearing a rust colored button up, watch, and jeans. He stands next to a shorter, pudgy woman who wears a white sweater and black pants.]
"These are my parents, Henry and Mary."
