tana had to admit she was distracted by ezra at first, but once she got focused on the game, there was no pulling her out of it. her eyes were locked forward and her fingers battled with the slightly sticky buttons. the girl gave ezra a little bump with her hip as she let out a small laugh, a lame attempt at trying to throw the boy off his game. but before long tana had the upper hand. ‘WINNER’ flashed across the screen and the girl jumped up in excitement, her arms wrapping around her neck as she slammed against him for a hug. tana was lost in the joy of winning she didn’t realize for a second how close she was to ezra. feeling all her nerves come flooding back tana let go of the boy, avoiding eye contact for a moment. “well i could always kick your ass at skee ball next, or we could always do the photo booth.” tana didn’t really care what game she played next, as long as she was spending her day with ezra she was doing everything she wanted to do.
ezra stands there for a moment with a brow raised, faux pondering over his decision. though, his mind is already made up. “hmm. we could play skee ball later...” he pauses before glancing over at her. the smile on his lips continuing to grow. “...after i rebuild some of my broken daxton pride.” a small chuckle escapes from him then, only to latch onto her hand. honestly, he’s going to be looking for any excuse to do that for the rest of the day. he should refrain, but there’s no harm in it. tana doesn’t seem to mind at all, and he’s thankful for that. “we should get some photos. you’d gonna wanna remember today and this face anyway,” he replies with a wink. the musician heads towards the glowing neon photo booth, pulling the birthday girl behind him before reaching their new destination. he steps inside, bringing the bright-eyed girl right beside him. “okay, pick any theme you want ‘cause i’ll look good in all of them,” he jokes with another laugh.
