“When the mind's eye rests on objects illuminated by truth and reality, it understands and comprehends them, and functions intelligently; but when it turns to the twilight world of change and decay, it can only form opinions, its vision is confused and its beliefs shifting, and it seems to lack intelligence."
– Plato
We have built a previous idea about ourselves and through it we look at ourselves.
Jiddu Krishnamurti
Krishnamurti argued that individuals live through a "previous idea"—an accumulation of memories, experiences, and societal conditioning—which functions as a biased screen through which they observe themselves. This prevents immediate perception, as people see a constructed self-image rather than what actually is.
Krishnamurti encouraged a "radical revolution" of consciousness, looking at oneself and the world without the "observer" separating itself from what is being observed.
Wu Tang - Reunited.

“You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and dance, and write poems and suffer and understand, for all that is life.”
— Krishnamurti

“Buddhist philosophy speaks of the four invisibles: water to the fish, air to the bird, mind to mankind, and enlightenment to the ignorant.”
