hot take: the way you talk shouldn’t be limited to your race. i think it’s generally area based and any accent can be used by anyone. however changing your accent consciously and on purpose especially to fit in with groups you don’t really interact with is kinda weird. and like if you subconsciously start talking differently in different groups (ex say you moved to scotland from the us and you start developing a slight scottish accent) then that’s just linguistic adaptation not something that is inherently forced or racist in some way
