In other news, I’ll be at Anime Destiny this Sunday 2/21/2016 at the UC Berkeley Campus. It’s a tiny 1 day con hosted by my university’s anime club, and I always loved going there for nostalgia. There are a lot of things i want to work on I want to stop the pangs of fear i get when i think someone dislikes me. Who gives a fuck if they don't? They're a mutual? So? How often do you talk to them? You might be trying to be a better person but being a better person doesn't mean please everyone. Fuck em. I also want to start conversations more but even offline I don't know how to talk to people without asking questions (like about work) or them initiating the conversation. I'm getting better, very slowly, but the learning curve seems so steep. I want to accept differing opinions no matter what they are. I don't gotta like them, but i used to feel like burning anger at some of them. With my job I've gotten a lot better about that. I want to be able to speak my mind again... I used to be very outspoken, perhaps too outspoken. I feel like that will be easier to change once i move out.

i keep thinking about this dream i had last night

i was swimming with my friends and got pulled away into a riptide. it almost felt like i could breathe underwater. I remembered what my geology professor told us, and how to survive riptides, and eventually i resurfaced and was able to make my way back to shore
