early in their relationship, byler might not be confident enough for big love declarations, but what happens is:
– will suggests a cool idea for a campaign and mike excitedly blurts out, "god i love you" (will goes tomato red while the rest of the party tries to gauge if they need to leave the premises before any inappropriate use of the game table)
– mike is ranting about something and will blocks him with "look, i love you, but you know dustin is right" and that effectively shuts mike up (until he realizes will is also stunned by his own words, and that's when mike goes in for a kiss and whispers he loves will too, to which will huffs (not so secretly delighted) and mutters, "oh no you're not winning the argument this way")
